Glad all is good...I got out at a nice spot from last nights short as usual I could have done better if I'd stayed with my plan to get out at 1.0180....I got out pretty much expecting to do the same as you....glad to say though my current long has a smile on my face...gonna try not to over think things and see what tonight and the next few days bring....

I went to the bank to deposit my pips already. The bull won't run in a no-stop style. There will be retracements on the way up. I will reenter later.

As to the further drop, I'd say take a look at a daily chart posted by a member today (EST). You will come to your conclusion after studying the chart yourself. -papa-

As a fundamental analyst and price action behaviour for week duration, the support at 1.0170 was reached too early.

Too early in the sense is that the market movement always has a pattern of retracement based on the particular days (mon, tues, wed, thu, fri) of a week. Its supposed to reach this support only near end of week like thu or friday but now it touches only on wed today.


Second point, From cross analysis of NZD/USD, it appearing to go for a dip as the heads are being formed . Normally , NZD/USD is highly correlated with AUD/USD so NZD/USD can be used a look ahead guide for AUD/USD or as a hedge currency in case trades fall out in AUD/USD.


My deduction is that this bear train will go down even more.

Just my personal point of views as a fundamentalist.

In answer to your question on exact low after the news: 1.01760 finfx

(just got home to two 80+ pip trades, the two buy limit orders I'd placed 14 hours ago).
1. second super successful trade analysis in a row and it is
2. especially good if the pair continues higher. I
3. analyzed this week as being, we would reach a quite low point, the lowest in what I see as this cycle, once pair "capitulated." I knew it hadn't done that, nor had I really expected it to before today... and that was my thinking 14 hours ago. I knew that earlier in the week, Sunday or Monday, things would probably have not gone down that far but by the middle of the week likely would.
4. Then, or at least the end or beginning of next week, a new high possible.

Because of what I perceive as summer thinness I wonder whether the market can take the pair much beyond 1.0340-1.0350 "tonight" (Hawaii time). I will decide whether 1.0400 is possible. DB proposes in his cartoon 1.06 and in that case I will have to be patient. It may happen relatively soon in the right mood... to me, something quite high is at least possible as the month is ending and a new one beginning.
