I'd wait for the CPI.. Hence.. I took my profits.. and Liquidated. Until the CPI kicks in.

One thing right now is important is CPI. You need to know consumer confidence, its a back bone of any economy.

CPI isn't a measure of consumer confidence it's a measure of inflation .
You also need to ignore the Headline figure , instead look at the Trimmed & Weighted Means . Market consensus is the same for both Means ; +0.6 Q/Q & 1.9 Y/Y

Posted this earlier too. BTW CPI is very important and its critical you understand the difference as it relates to intrest rates and the need to raise, lower or keep the same depending on the RBA's goals. However a strong currency can also help with that as well.

Lol, It's ok.. I know what CPI is used for.. I was thinking of something else when I typed it, and then didn't realize it.. after I was pointed out.

I bought some, and really I'm mostly looking for a gap fill in the futures market, and the fed to signal they might do something.

That being said, I feel risk off will return by the end of the week!

i enterd short on nzd/usd as it breached the.7840 support. Looking at .7720 sort of level for tp. and sl .7865.

Also AUD/NZD breached the major resistance and will head up. Aiming for 1.3200 and sl-1.2945

still waiting for my entry on aud/nzd

Market was pricing in a rate cut next month and the CPI number just threw the probability of this happening out the door. At least until the September meeting. I am long targeting the upper trend line from this mispricing.

Wouldn't be surprised to see a temp reversal later this week Back up to 1.0300+ levels. At these current levels, i'm sidelined to see if we get another leg down first. With AU i will always favor the down side because almost every week i see someone or some bank saying that aussie is the most overvalued currency in the world.
