One last short @ 1.0308, SL only 7 pips
My other shorts (293/301) also moved SL to 1.0315
It's 4:30am here.. time to sleep
keep adding shorts as long as you dont move SL. Good luck

agree with you regarding R:R ratio. good point to enter short. but i hope u been adding shorts wisely as i have been through similar situation and once in while they go wrong and that once mess up my head big time. i hope u dont end up similar situation like mines.
keep adding shorts as long as you dont move SL. Good luck
All lots risk the same amount. Eg: my short at 1.0293 risks 22 pips, which is 0.5% of my account.
Whereas my short @ 1.0308 is 3 times bigger than that, but still only risks 0.5% because the stop is 3 times smaller
Never fussed if I get stopped out. It's part of doing business. I just see it as a cost of doing business (like advertising in my other business)

The Aussie will drop from this point. But, the scenario of the upcoming episodes is not what the bears have been thinking. If the bears still see half of the picture now, they shall be able to see the other half in the very near future. -IMHO-

As for the Trade that i allowed it to make a DD of 900 pips... well that was USDCHF going below 0.80 to finally bouce at 0.71 up to 0.92, btw i rode up all the way to 0.92 to take profit.... it was long but it worked....
in fact if i was a good trader.... i would keep on adding Longs as it keeps going down...., because boy the more you get it cheaper the more you can make when it rises..... ....
in 'time' lengthy drawdowns, whether 90 pips or 900, the cost of negative swap must be considered...... a month long trade can be costly.....
also, sometimes it seems better to add on the way back up as oppose to down..... or use trailing buystops....
there is a rare but real
drawback to using stop type orders which your usdchf trade and my accounts make all to clear.....i had ea's with many trailing buystop orders following the usdchf's fall .... my thinkin was the if/when up move would be orderly.......
when the peg news hit, for several seconds/minutes the price vs spread was out of control...... it blew thru most of my buystops without filling but turned them into market orders...... causing many of to be filled several hundred pips higher than intended......
those ea's were rewritten within the hour to protect from that rare event..... still, all in all, it was my biggest day ever..... thanks snb......
in the usdchf event, your method, adding down, more than likely fared better than my method, using trailing buystops......
actually, a blend of both methods might work better still.....h
to trade and code, keep both simple... no call to impress....h
