hedging will take advantage with this slight difference.
I was disclosing a style of bracket hedging on AUD/USD. Using opposing trades to lock in profit in between them. You don't have to use CFDs if your broker allows different positions on the same pair.

Problem is most of people dont want admitted their wrong or accept they loss in trading or even life,therefore most of people fails in this business,Trading's like a sport,as player when we lose and dont admitted it then the Public wont give us any respect,as the same with trading,Mr.market will punish us hard...maybe they can escaped this time,but cant be avoid in another time

Heres what i learned in life... currently i still hold 1000 Shares of Apple,
of which i bought around $40/Share around 5-6 years ago....
I know it was going to go up.... when Apple dropped to $35 per share, people were saying i was wrong i was wrong, if i actually listened to them i would've lost this opportunity to hold what now is worth couple hundred thousand dollar worth of shares now..... (oh yea im paying my college tuition in UK thanks to them )

so please do me a favor and spare me the lecture of how human nature will never learn.... especially when i see exactly what im risking and i've taken into consideration how far this could go up....
i did say the Top of AUDUSD is around 1.06
where as the bottom is around 0.96, reason why i had my shorts around 1.0200 and 1.0300 is because the Risk Reward ratio is around 1 bit Risk to 2 bit Reward.... Now with me placing even more..... Risk Reward Ratio becomes compounded from 1:2 into 2:4 then 4:16.... i still like my odds shorting the Aussie....

But wouldn't it be better if you put all those shorts at 1.0300 all together? I'm not good at ratios, in fact I have no ideas about ratios at all, but in my point of view it's a lot better to have 3 shorts at 1.0300 instead of 3 shorts splattered all over the 1.0200 - 1.0300 range.

well life aint that easy..... we wouldnt know that shit would turn around at 1.01, 1.02,1.03 or 1.04, you only way is to place your bets along the way until it starts to reverse then your bets along the way will eventually break even... by the time it reaches your second bet positoin you'd be breaking even...
but make sure you knwo the range for this bet to work... dont place when theres a break out..... for me the break out point is that trendline resistance form top at 1.08xx, 1.05xx.....

What you're doing is averaging in and I would recommend others not to do this. You short @ 1.02 and now it's 1.03, if I were you I'd get the hell out @ 1.025 and admit I'm wrong.

I think that's not the only way to do it, there's another way of doing it..
get short when it goes down, close when it reverses and get long immediately..and so on..
or if you're so eager on being bearish, why not wait till it reverses from going up, you should know that, you've been doing this for years remember?

Come on bg. Yesterday you were giving people hell and lecturing them for saying they were wrong about AUD/USD going up. Well looks like the shoe is on the other foot and they were right and you were wrong and now you don't want people to lecture you??? I really don't see anyone here telling you what to do. And if they were why would you even care enough to respond if you are confident in what you are doing.

The only thing people here are doing is making suggestions or giving their opinion - from what I see. I for one believe some of it may be good advice. Again, not saying you should do anything. For one thing people don't even know your position size relative to your balance so how could they be telling you what's best? One thing that is for certain, whether you want to believe it or not, is that people get margin called or blow a big hole in their account by holding losers too long. So if that drawdown starts to hurt I would really give serious consideration to getting out before you have to sell some of that Apple stock to meet margin.

im still thinnking if the trades i got which is currently about 5% of my account in floating loss... if this is that big of a DD for me to panic.... hmmmm
besides im not saying they are wrong.... but ive just informed everyone im shorting this rally because we are simply in a bearish channel bouncing off the bottom of the channel....

Well the good thing is you don't have the negative swap of holding AUD short. That certainly helps.
