Same here I have stayed up all night, to see the movement 10 pips either way, the minute you look away the thing starts moving, so I guess thats what stop loss and stop limits are for, so we can get some good sleep in.

P.S. Beware of the bad flooding in Japan (got caught out last year with the Tsunami)....!!!!

I just went long on gold with no stop limit, hoping for it to rise before the morning.

No DAX or DOW till the am, but if needs must then Oil and Gold are up and moving, trade very similar performance wise but not quite as good.
I'm hoping for a better week this week, need to start leaving my trades on instead of closing them for 20+ pips.

I think if you and Turvey do the opposite of what I am trading you will both make a lot of money.....

It annoys me that when I look back at trades taken over the past week or so, If I'd of left them on and let hit their original TP level, which they all did do (instead I closed them for a profit between 20-40 pips), I'd be in a considerably better mood on this fine monday morning

.....seem's we both need the same "Mind Coach", already today I am loosing trades, oh well all stopped out at the moment except Gold, I have to go out soon for 3 hours so will re-start when I get back.

Its only started recently, I used to leave trades on and let them hit their TP levels or if I moved the stop to lock in profits, that would get hit and it wouldn't bother me, now I'm finding I'm closing my trades for 20-40pips as I said earlier, the only thing I can think of is I've recently upped the lot size, so subconsciously my mind knows theres more money at stake, even though its only a small % of the account and well within my acceptable risk, it most definitely is a psychological war inside your head this trading malarky, however, I plan to have this emotion under full control very soon...

I also suffer with this. On some days I can watch a big loss come back to me and get out even or in profit, on other days I suffer LTP and swallow a loss only to watch PA come back where I had thought some time later.

Better to take 20-40 than have a loss have many ran well past ?

Ironically indexs are choppy and fx's are rocking got to go with what's working at the time but at least we have a tool to trade during bad FX times.

yeah I've closed plenty of trades for a profit then its gone on for another 100+ or so pips, which would of effectively doubled, tripled or quadroupled or more, pentroubpled? my profit for that trade and added a considerable % to my account, days like that hurt lol but still, profit is better than no profit

Can you tell the difference between the 1's that go for 100+ and don't.

They have a move, they stall the drop a bit to me there is now way to tell if it'll drop a bit or a lot, so I prefer to exit on the stall and be safe.

Some trades are obviously going to keep going all day long, but thinking all trades will will cost you a string of SL hits, BE or not, prefer profit.

Obviously more reward for your risk is better, if you can take 3 steps forward then only give 1 step back your getting somewhere.

Lets hope so! lol In long on the mini dow, inside bar on right on resistance turned to support.

SL is at break even now, was going to leave this one but got a feeling it may reverse completely.

closed for +44

edit- good job I closed that trade, it reversed and is now hovering at where I originally opened the trade.

Well its no iPhone that's,for sure cheap and,tacky adding commas all time to odd n't going to be used as a phone that's for sure to damn big but as a trading platform it just cost me 600 quid so if will have to do lol

Well all in over 2 years with the data which I'll use and the minutes and texts which I won't use.

Fingers crossed, it will allow me to trade away from home easier than lugging around the Ipad and Mifi so hopefully it will of paid for itself by the end of the school holidays.

We shall see, seems kinda flimsy so if it survives that long.

Apple ease of use, I accept it won't do as much but it's a phone really does beat it hands down though I might be a techy but no Android fan in the slightest.

Use an ipad for 5mins and you won't want to put it down, I bought a Andriod 8" tablet ages ago, didn't use it for 5mins, gave it to a girlie I know ( FIT AS ) and 2 weeks on, she used it for 5mins it crashed and trying to get around to using it again LOL

I notice Dax and DOW looked random today all day like Forex normally looks and Forex looked like DAX and DOW looked like last week, we've jinxed it
