Hi my pit bull demo is not in TE now as nobody responded so I think this thread has run its course.

Anyhow I have uploaded another account into TE. I don't trade it with pit-bull but by all means take a look.

If you click on my name you go to my profile and its viewable there. You can also link TE to any account live or demo and more than one if you want. It provides useful analysis information in a pretty easy format.

And no wonder, PitBull always had it the wrong way around -

Making trades and then watching to see if you can pick the trend or figure out which pair is going to make pips.....? sorry, but you do need some indicators, would you fly a $50,000 plane (or Forex account) without at least a compass?

Try some real basket trading, find the trend, take the trades, watch the pips build up, never a losing basket, but don't take my word for it, check it out at

I find NB's 10.2 way too slow. By the time the indicator tells you the trend, you've missed out on most of the move. The indicator also repaints, which is just shitty! I know NB has improved it quite a bit, but even on the higher TF's there is just too much repainting in my opinion. 10.2 isn't a bad system and I do respect Naningbob for his efforts and time hes putting in to help other traders, but it really isn't worth all the hype.

Pitbull also has a very bad flaw, which is that it will signal an entry on random noise. A quick 30 pip move might make you add a larger lot, but at the worst possible place to enter. Now I know the position can be hedged and if the trend continues, money can still be made, but I always try to get the higher probability setups, something pitbull ignores.

In my opinion, it's worth checking out both pitbull and NB's 10.2 if you are new to basket trading, but I recommend developing your own method of trading a basket with higher probability setups.

I suggest you keep your pitbull TE on. I'm pretty sure someone will find value in it. I've checked it out a couple of times.

Too slow? A couple of 500 pips baskets per week, and none of this "printing money" BS, watching every trade, make another sale, just set and forget, too easy.

Anyway, I'm only telling you about it, only for you to find what works for you.

TOO SLOW? Yes! Look I'm only familiar with the original 10.2. If there is new developments every day, then that system is probably 10.2.1.4. Either way, the indicator defining the trend is extremely slow due to repainting. Also, only trading when trending...well then, now I'm even less interested.

It seems you have a serious issue with the pitbull method. If that's the case, then why not just leave it alone. What's the point of constantly being so negative about it.

Nway, I'm also just putting my opinion out there. Don't expect everyone to follow you like a bunch of sheep.

I have had some initial success with PitBull, a significant number of pips overnight.

I concur with the post that says most of the trend is missed with NB entries, I have decided to pass on that approach.

My thinking today is to develop some 'mini baskets'(develop two or three individual small baskets) a la T101, enter those baskets as indicated by Orest within a larger T101 basket and using a basket take profit so that it can be re entered over and over. (Initial basket is entered using one lot size, smaller baskets to use smaller lot size)

At this point, I feel it to be a bit stressing to monitor a number of individual trades, small baskets controlled by MPTM within the larger basket seems to be more efficient.

I feel that we have to take advantage of the research and tools developed in all of the basket trading threads to make this as effective and profitable as we can.

From the videos that I have watched...... in Pitbull trading..... everything goes as long as drawdown is positive and we have to develop innovative methods to have individual success. I have noticed in the videos that Brijon uses charts and then he does not use charts, he has a wide variety of charts, the consistent thing is the management of drawdown.

As good as it is.... there were a couple baskets that failed in the last week or so. and there is not always a basket available every day.

would you please consider to move any NB 10.2 discussion (basket or otherwise) over to steve's site....

I for one continue successfully with pitbull method and most of the time it works well. This is Brian's thread (though he is no longer here), so would appreciate if you stay on the subject for those that find the thread in the future

Agree. This is not a basket trading method. The thread isn't about trading various complete baskets and developing baskets to trade and could confuse readers.

The pairs bought and sold at 0.01 form the indicator and we trade individual pair in strong trend. We don't open and close complete baskets etc. We trade the strongest trending pairs.

Regarding charts, from my perspective there is no rule regarding the use of charts and its perfectly fine to view a chart before you enter a trade or hedge, checking for either round numbers, MM S/R etc if you feel it appropriate.
This method doesn't rely on charts, they are optional, and you certainly don't need to spend hours pouring over them, just check the daily significant S/R if you choose. Test it and find what works for you.

So, it would not be a problem to post a picture of some of those "significant pips" then?

Perhaps some trend was missed by early NB, but I have never used it that way. NB is trading with the trend and has the best method of determining the trend that I have ever seen.

Red for shorts, Green for buys, unlike Pitbull using an arbitrary basket and waiting for price to pullback, it always comes back says Brijon, ha ha ha

I didn't think the idea was to have a basket everyday, although some of the new followers are thinking like that. If you read Bob's paper on Monthly & Weekly Pivots, the idea is to get into a trend and hold it as price action takes you from one line to another line, works well, see some pips here.

where are the Pitbull profits? this is your thread and you guys can't even post any ha ha ha
