looks like the dax is going dowwwwn, it fell on the bad news of french industrial production figures, then right after the italian industrial production figures came out this morning, the dax rocketed north, coincidence?

Took profit on the bounce from the pivot, Beautiful setup... love those trades when everything just makes sense...

I love trading the DAX! but I try to focus on trading just one instrument. I find it helps me focus more during the day and keeps me away from potential blow-out days.

In the past my trading was a little like my golf when it came to day trading... I can trade well for weeks on end, then one day can nearly ruin it all...

So I find by focusing on one instrument I am less prone to that...

Out +37 nice to reverse that bad losing trade and some more in 1 hit

Just discovered it couldnt trade indexs until recently huge range and 1 pip spread make it a daytraders dream.

£1.23 per pip min lot size.

Back for 6 gmt might get some more.

thats the margin requirements for say the dax? per 0.10 lot?

I think i read $90 might of been $100.

I trade for a living. I use the Forex factory for news which is very handy. I trade shares and indices (FTSE and DOW). I have traded currencies in the past but I found them too volatile for my liking.

I've just got the DOW chart up, it seems to respect psychological levels very well, I may give it a go.

I'm watching the DOW from the side lines at the moment. Got a few longs on some stocks instead. Also watching BARC which is also a good one to day trade.

I'd looked at Dow ( US30 ? ) and didn't think to much of it, 4 pip spread but guess thats okay as it just had a 50pip move down.

Will add back to the watch list, volume is kinda low and it's hard to read the PA much before the US open though.

PA is hard to judge before the US open but I do sometimes take positions on the DOW and FTSE when the markets are closed (even with the wider spreads) depending on the news and world events etc as sometimes the entry price is to good to resist.

In before is kinda key, even with a 50/50 win rate as long as you can use a tight SL and hope to gain many x's more than you risk then it's all good.

I used to trade Dow and Nasdaq via a futures account must be 11years ago, SCAREY!! $12 per pip back when I had money

Seasoned or old take your pick, I was a much better stock swing trader till sec rules banned in out on the same day, get a SL hit 3 times in 5 days and account suspended for day trading on a sub25k account, but getting there on day trading finally.

I nearly jumped on gold short be up 80 I think if I has of, gold when started wont stop it's nice to jump in on.

Rough times for some it seems, british trading rules are not so strict luckily.
