Where can I learn more about Price Action like those in James16 charts? 9 replies
DislikedJust a thought from my side here...you might want to trade EUR/CAD instead since EUR/CHF is pegged anyway and EUR/CAD usually is much more liquid... (see attachment)Ignored
DislikedHi Dany
I'm no expert, professional or guru and have not accumulated the years of experience you have. I am however fortunate enough to have found this thread which has steered me (an absolute novice) into someone who can read and extract consistent profits from the markets. It was the foundation of my learning.
Here is a link to a post of mine from July 2011 listing out my trade by trade results (Post #98545)
This information was made public out of choice....Ignored
DislikedHey man. I started to read this thread from the start and I'm about at page 100-ish. I only see bits of scattered info and screenshots.
I can only DEDUCE that this METHOD is about bar formations at important levels (PPZ)? Not even the 1st post describes anything about the method, just that 3months training. But training in what lolIs there anywhere in this thread the METHOD explained step by step?
Thanks

Dislikedhey mike,
What resistance level are you looking at for the cad/chf? the even number .94000 or the higher high circled?Ignored
DislikedHey D
The 9400 level is more clean. But I still won't ignore that high. Just depends on what pops up(if anything). Most levels will be zones, but then we can narrow it down for the good one and in this case 9400 is the line but that is all part of the "zone". So for example if we end up trading back into that(say we get a big BUOB that closes under that high), it's something to watch and utilize in our mgmt
Hope that helps

DislikedHey DGB
There are a few summaries that various people have done. But summaries really only go so far. Price action is about concepts. Their are a LOT of little concepts that we must learn(price bars, s/r, etc) but the MOST important part is then learning how to blend those.
Start by following along with James16 charts, and slowly it will begin to make more and more sense. There is no one way to do this. That's what some people hate, but also the beauty in it(that we can make it our own). Unfortunately their is something about time and...Ignored
DislikedStill there is NO structure to the info in this thread. Can someone list the things(only the name of the PA thing, no need for detail) they have learned from this thread? I'm not new to PA, and i was lucky to have found this approach to trading before any other thing (indicators hype and others).

DislikedTangent: If you have metatrader open with around 30 charts or so It becomes difficult to remember which ones are developing good set ups and which ones can be ignored for a week or two. I found it difficult to organize the charts in a way so I don't have to click through them all every day but spend more time on the good ones. How are you guys doing it?
Thx as always.Ignored

DislikedI do a lot of my trade scanning on www.prorealtime.com I can easily blast through a ton of pairs in 5 minutes. The end of day data is free and you can save your chart lines.
Also I have quite a few demo accounts with different profiles setup so I can keep my trading account clean.
Oh you can set price alerts at www.alertfx.comIgnored
