EA for Breakout of specific hour trading range

Does anyone know of an EA which will enter a trade on the break of a given hour's range?

I know there are specific EAs for certain times of the day, but I'd like to be able to enter in a start and end time to use as the range, eg: break of 9amGMT candle, then start = 9am, end = 9am.

Basic inputs such as risk, to use but without a hundred extra optional features. Just a simple breakout with set take profits.

not sure if RR's generic breakout EA will do the trick.

Using the clock to base your breakouts on is extremely self-limiting. My system shows how to find a suitable trading range regardless of the time or the time frame. We are also working on an EA.

If you go to the MQL code base and search for breakout ea or london break out you may find what you are looking for.

Most of them are very easy to modify.

By the way I spent many hours investigating breakout EA's on time, and time and other parameters such as trend or previous price action.

I didn't find any consistency except for periods. A couple of times I thought I had found the holy grail but the EA's are curve fitted almost by definition.

Please don't let me put you off . It is very interesting and enlightening .

Forexhard: thanks for the link to the stairstep breakout method. will take a look in coming days. the edge that i'd witnessed over limited backtesting is due to the money management of my system idea.

Grumbo: thanks for your reply - breakouts are very intersting and frustrating! Unfortunately I know no coding so can't modify those EAs.

re: forexhard's breakout method, I can definitely vouch for it due to the self-limiting nature of basing breakouts on the clock.

the indicator draws bo-boxes (but it is not required by the ea)

at first: the default settings seem not to be profitable. But these are the settings the trader uses when trading manually (german forum link above). I assume that there are some descretionary parts also ... Not my problem I just tried to make an EA from this, so pls. play around with the settings and report errors (if I have time I will try to fix them then) ...
