Do you see a big slide? I speculated the current move downward, but I am no too familiar of the Aussie. Only traded it a few times.

At this point, the bull is running up the hill. When the bull exhausts, "he" will stop and run to the hillside. Is this a long trip? You have to ask the bull?

Hi all, anyone fancy buying the home sale news ? Around 1.0060 the bottom of the 5 min trend line if it punches down there the TL and 61 fib should provide some support.

Again, May pending home sales jump 6%. This reinforces the durable goods report. QE3 is pretty much out of the picture at this point.

I have only been trading Forex for a month, but one of the first things I have realize is that tends to matter less and less given my Euro experiences. Fundamentals do not seem to hold very much. In the obvious global slowdown, it can be arguably debatable that even during the US slow growth, the Aussie dollar and Euro should not be where it is. Australia is experiencing slow growth, high unemployment and their currency is highly correlated to commodities. With the global slowdown, that should be negatively impacted. I'm tired of touching on the EZ as even the strongest country, Germany, is buckling under the pressure.

The currencies are where ever the big dogs say they are. The Aussie is grouped into this "risk on" bullsh&t. The markets up, and more than likely so are the Aussie and Euro. Something is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it (or manipulated to).

Even though there are huge sells in EURUSD and GBPUSD, AUD sticks well to where it is now. Seems like there is high appetite to buy.. Plus GOLD goes higher which is quite good for Aussie.

Long it is for me.

One month isn't long enough to observe FX trends. Over the long term, prices do tend to follow the news, but its not uniform by any stretch. I'm not sure how anyone makes money off FX fundies exclusively unless they have a long term (month or more) time horizon.
I understand fundies and use them to be on the alert for trading opportunities, but tech analysis is the bread and butter of successful Forex trading no doubt.
