Here are 3 closed trades, the first image is what the EA saw when it placed the trade and the second shot is after it closed.

We need to filter these a little better.

Looks like STO agreed with CCI in the first 2 but not in the 3rd one, so not much help there.
Bigger Stop Loss on #3 ????
Bigger Stop Loss on #1, too early to tell ?????
Just CCI used as trigger in these 3 trades.

What kind of filter do you think?
Can we set SL together last high?which one is arrived first.
Can we set TP together change color of HA?which one is arrived first.

Right now I am using the lowest or highest of the last 2 closed candles to determine the SL and a offset in pips can be added or subtracted from that value.
Also for TP I am using the candle color change to exit if a fixed TP is not set.
See the one below where I got another false entry. For some reason it didn't capture the original entry, so this one is after the fact. The candle after the Green candle was Green but repainted to red. I am going to try and delay the entry by one more candle to see if that will help. So in the case of a long entry we would need a red - green - green candles and then on the open of the next candle enter the trade. This one may have worked out if the Stop Loss had been bigger, but won't know that until we get more candles.

Even in this trade I was only using the CCI, but the STO also did agree.

Also I think,we take care risk reward ratio on every trade.
We have to set min.1/2 acceptable 1/3 is best desicion as to me.

Here is another EA using an idea suggested by mm16, so all the credit goes to mm16.
It is very simple and uses PA above or below a channel.
Try it with the defaults and see how it goes before changing anything.
Just started to test it when the new week started yesterday so not a long time to tell if it will be any good. It did so well last night I thought I may as well post it and let everyone give it a try.
Be sure you have the "Bands" indicator in your indicators folder as the EA makes a call to it, you don't need it on the chart if you don't want to.

Please post your results so we all can learn and make some money.

This is only for the M15 chart, so put it there and leave it alone or you may get weird results if you move between time frames.

Good Luck

All trades have closed and here are the results so far, 8 trades by EA and all winners. These were all hands off trades, EA did it all, I even had it started before the the open, so it lived through the open, trading 24/5.

Now it will probably get killed in the next trades.

Pairs being traded:

EURUSD, USDCHF, GBPUSD, USDJPY, USDCAD, AUDUSD

Thanks for the EA, but all credit belongs to Neal Gilbert of GFT. He is the original mind behind this strategy. We will put to test and hopefully be profitable. Thanks once again for your generous effort and unselfish contribution.

One thing I forgot to mention.

If you leave the fixed Stop Loss set to Zero a stop loss based on the top or bottom band will be used + or - the offset.
So if you enter a "BUY" trade with Stop Loss set to zero and offset set to say 5 pips, the stop loss sent to the Broker will be 5 pips below the lower band. A sell trade will use the upper band and offset.
Good Luck

Some of you may be wondering why you have an alert and it is not taking a trade like the screen shot below. This is because you are probably in the middle of a trend. The only way the "Trading Suspended" will go away is if both the SlopeH4 and SlopeD1 turn gray to reset it showing both H4 and D1 are ranging, see second screen shot, now the robot is looking for a new trade, when they all turn Green or Red a trade will be placed.

Anyway, this is how it is suppose to work, will see, I have no trades yet.

You may have run across this, I have gotten use to it. At times when launching MT4 it appears to hang on a chart. In Windows 7 you may have the circle going round and round on the screen as if its doing something. If you try to close it by clicking the Red "X" in the upper right hand corner a few times, Windows comes back and says the program is not responding and Windows is looking for a solution, do you want to close the program. I just click yes and relaunch the program, this seems to be normal between MT4 and Windows 7, I don't remeber this with XP, maybe someone else can shine some light on this.

Another thing I have seen at times is on the desk top with no programs running and when you move the mouse around the rotating circle appears at different places on the screen. At times it is right where you want to click on a folder or icon on the desk top to open it and you can't because of this. I end up rebooting to clean out the "Win Rot" and start over.
Never had this with XP either.

My computer runs 24/7 so maybe a good idea to rebooot it every weekend to clean out the garbage and release the memory.

Thank you for the great job, for the very good EA's
they very much interested me
Please, look at this manual system
http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=359188

I looked it at history
The results are not bad and conditions simple

Hi there,

I'll post results from Metatrader properly tonight after work, but so far:

5 trades - 3 closed as winners, 2 still open and in good profits.

Seems too simple to be true!

Regards
Ath

OK, I have posted this EA suggested by ardasu for testing, it needs some tweaking yet, so maybe everyone can give some feed back. (Download from first page)
It uses Range Bars and an offline chart for the EA to run on. I have enclosed the RB EA I designed the EA around so before you try other RB indicators or EAs you may want to try it my way first, as all RBs are not the same and your results may vary as the EA looks at these values.

1) Open a chart of EURUSD and set it for M1 (Just a plain chart)
2) Turn Auto Scroll off
3) Hold down the "Page UP" key untill the chart stops updateing.
4) Turn Auto Scroll back on
5) Attach the RenkoLiveChart_v3.4 EA to this chart (or use the range bar template) with the following settings. Do not set "ShowWicks" to true as this will affect the EA readings and give the wrong results.

6) Go to the file menu and open the EURUSD M2 chart.
7) Attach the ardasu template

EA Settings:
1) UseLastHighLowSL Uses the higher or the lower of the last 2 closed candles as the SL. This will over ride the StopLossPips setting if you have something entered there.
2) LastHighLowOffsetPIPs Added or subtracted from #1 for the Stop Loss
3) Aggressive If set to true only waits for one closed candle color change to open a trade. If set to false waits for two closed candle color changes for a trade to open. I am trying to avoid the single candle color change in the middle of a trend you sometimes get. Gets you in one candle later but may be safer, needs more testing.

I think the rest are obvious

Try it with the default settings to start with.

I am looking for input on this EA as it so far has not done very well, it enters trades according to the rules but so far has been in the middle of a trend when we get just one or two candles of the opposite color. We need to find a way to stop this and it may then be a profitable EA.

Good Luck

I have noticed at times in a fast moving market I get a (129): invalid price error so my partial close does not close part of the order. I will try a few things and see if they work and then post an update.

This is when using the "OrderClose(OrderTicket()" command in the EA, if anyone has a quick fix let me know.

I am going to try the refresh rates first to see if that helps.

Looking back through the log it looks like I missed 4 PCs because of this in the last 2 days which could cost a few pips.

Seller9,

I've been testing this and it's looking really good. I actually set up a very similar manual system for my son to trade, but the trades are taken a little closer to the bands and the bands are a little wider. Ironically, I was thinking of finding someone to code it when this appeared. His problem has been exits, which I didn't specify very clearly.

In the EA, when you say default settings, are you using the 0 stop loss or one of the other stop loss options? If the BEJS is true, does that conflict with the hard stop loss? Also, how much are you using for partial take profits?

Thanks again for posting this. It looks really promising.

Gila

Hi Seller9, mm16

I have today put this EA on a few pairs in demo and had 3 trades 2 on EU closed in profit and one on AUd still open,
Awsome stuff.
Is there a description of the methodology that is incorporated? The reason I ask is that in backtest I do not get similar results. The trades taken in backtest are not shown on the chart for some reason so I cannot see the conditions under which it doesn't work so well.

I have searched the thread and visited GFT but cannot find the strategy.

Hope you can help but anyway -fantastic thread - I will be a frequent visitor.
