My template is essentially the same as MissPips' rainbow method, which has been passed around for YEARS. I've made a few minor modifications, but that's it. Try reading the thread and rationale behind all the different colored MAs before criticizing others and posting your junk. Then, if you actually are able to conjure and independent thought, maybe you'll actually make some money.
I used to had tried this system about two years ago, and had read the long treads for weeks. Unfortunately, I concluded that this system is useless and I dumped it after several months of testing. Recently, I came across and rediscovered CCI indicator mainly thanks to TASAYA system by Forexcube. I am interested in matching CCI with Trix in my own system. It's good to see this system and its thread are still actively being updated.

Just took another short rainbow trade for +12. If the euro does go away, I'm going ride the momentum all the way down.

Almost me favorite. I really prefer a completely fresh
rainbow flip, but a failed flip in a strong downtrend
will work also.

Considerations:
1) Head and Shoulders pattern on the 1 m chart at failed flip
2) Fresh trix cross on 5 m
3) Fresh trix cross on 30 m
4) Breaks and retests major fib. I really wanted to wait for a retest and continuation of the S above that but it couldn't get back up there which made me think that:
5) You gotta figure either way it has to go down - either a continuation of yesterday or else they have to do a stop hunt to take out the stops below 30 before taking Friday profits so I better enter here.

If you are looking for a perfect system I think you will always lose a lot of time, before making a trade must take into account many factors including trading hours, the rhythm of market, market sentiment, besides the news and many other factors , so the backtest is useless because it does not feel for yourself the previous situation, it takes years to understand these situations, the indicators do nothing but to trust what you're seeing, you can use any system but if you do not understand these situations not going anywhere ...
What did I tell you? Name of the game today is "Let's run the stops below 30 so we can get liquidity to take our profits for the weekend".

Wouldn't be surprised if next they don't run the stops above 65-75 and then reverse.

Does anyone can post the real latest official version?
Love the THV (and pipware) system...best system I've tested over the past year or so. Using it on the H1/H4 timeframes, and had my best ever day yesterday with a very nice 293pip gain in a single day.

FYI, the 5 EMA shift 3 works very well as a trailing stop loss once you enter trades. I completely stopped checking now once I entered a trade. I tested it for a couple of months now, and it seems to work well no matter the circumstances. The "shift 2" EMA kicks you out of trades too quickly...
And that's exactly what happened.

Here's my view of what happened today.

1) Pinbar

2) Traders see pinbar at daily range extreme and go long. Stops below
pinbar.

3) Asia shorts at prior R.

4) Big money that got short at the top two days ago wants to get out for the weekend, and they need liquidity do do it so they run the stops below the pinbar to get it. Apparently there's lots to be gotten out of as price moves away from thee fast.

5) Traders see the prior R held twice and they short again, with stops
above at 65-75.

6) Price didn't hang around 4 very long so when it gets back the
big players are still eager to get out of their shorts at 6, which you can see by all the tails on the price bars.

7) Price didn't stay very long at point 6 either, so big money didn't have
that long to get out. What to do? Well, we could run the stops up
there at the top at point 3 to get some more to sell at a decent price so
we can make a little more money while we force price back down to
the area where we want to do our profit taking.

8) (Not on chart yet. ) Now we should get another bounce around
the 20 ish area, since it doesn't look like all the orders there got filled,
probably last until London leaves.

If you read my posts today you can see that I mentioned before it happened that the market would probably stop-hunt the stops below 30 and then take profits, that it would probably stop hunt the stops above 65-75 and then reverse, and that it would probably go back down to 20 and bounce for the London close.

(That's why, (among other reasons, the other being that the weekly pivot was too close), that I didn't take the rainbow flip long signal at 16:25 (GMT+3))


Do you see why, if you want to be a successful trader, you need to have a feel for the market,which comes from thinking about what's likely to happen next and why, where the next support or resistance is and whether it's likely to break or hold instead of just pulling the trigger every time there is a signal?

That's also why it's kind of pointless to criticize how someone else's charts look, because different people have different ways of observing things, and, more importantly, understanding the meaning of what they are observing. Two different traders can come to the same correct conclusion using completely different looking charts as we can see from Ricmi's and Toafdawg's posts two day's ago - what matters is choosing one that works for you in terms of pinpointing where to take an entry or where not to.

here is a good opportunity, triangle and retrace, trix slow positive on the zero, positive trix 5M, now moves well without the noise, I know after all that has happened seems easy...

Finally, I see something intersting in this thread. Intersting analyse, and very clear. This is what I need, I'd like to see some more analyse charts with technical analyse.

Hi guys,

Regarding divergences and the use of the slow and fast trix.
As far as I understand from previous pages, I should use the slow Trix to calculate divergences, however in THV v3 divergences are calculated using the slow trix. Am I right? Isnīt it inconsistent?

Appreciate your opinions.
