Love this comment from Ralph Shell (COT report fame) "We started the week with a Monday reversal day down, followed by a Tuesday up market. Usually this type early action means we are headed for a choppy week with position traders giving money to the nimble scalpers".

Hi,
yesterday EU H1 trade closed before FOMC. Took small profit +15pips.


Note, yesterday price made a new week high but did not break last week's high. Will see if today will test the high again....for the new week range.

Hi guys
today's eur/usd result
entered long at pullback bar ,was up +30 pips.looked nice at that moment.
before us open it shows a very significant short signal.
so get out long position with -3 pips.
and entered short at 1.2663.
closed position too early at 1.2628 +35pips.
i watched my trade record .it is steady and slowly growing up.
but i know exit strategy is really a big issue to me.
I will reread my chart and back testing again.
must something missing there.

Yesterday was a bad start during the Tokyo-London overlap hours. I had formed a bias when Tokyo open, and was not really looking from higher. Good thing it was a Thursday and I had my trading mentor and team buddies with me. They woke me up to things I refused to see. Had to close the bad ugly position taken earlier at small loss. Then it all turn out well when NYO.

Saw that pullback candle and the potential for a nice move down the fibo levels and breakout of Wednesday Low. Took that H1 pullback bar setup and with some help and guidance managed the trade well adding positions with the strong move down. Overall that was a great close to this week.

When the Mon/Tues highs held (as we discussed here) the move down was not entirely unexpected when US session yesterday had a classic big upper wick, 1hr chart.

Unfortunately we have very bad connection problems and missed out completely.

Anyway we have had a TL break lower (clear from D/4hr) and whilst a move up to test the back of that TL may happen we are looking for good opp's to sell after Y's engulfing neg close completed an evening star pattern.

Hi Cun,

For this trade, I made the first Add Pos 50pips from the initial EP 1.2667. I use a Running Stop Loss of 50pips for this trade .. it is about 2xATR(10) on H1 or 1xATR(10) on H4. So when market move another +50pips, I will BE the first Add Pos and will add the another Pos.

Note: I use a multi lot money management strategy for all my intraday trades.
Usually the first lot (or pos) I will exit at +1R and BE the remaining lot. Only in cases where there is a strong breakout potential, then I will add on pos. This is done only when initial lot is BE. The initial risk R is the same and after BE, every add-on trade is a 'free trade'. Just think of re-investing the gained profit.

Hope this explains clearly.

Here is an article on multi lot positions.
It will give you a general idea what you can do with money management to make this nice S3 trading method into a profitable system. We all need proper money management system which will work for us individually.

But there is still a bigger part i.e. managaing our trading psychology. This is the biggest and most difficult part of being a trader.

Hi everyone,

I am a newbie to this thread but had been a silent member for a period.

Today I am here to thank you all of your contribution to this thread and share your valuable forex experience to everyone.

In the mean time, I have a setup question about GBPUSD. I saw Fib + Previous Support on the chart below... but I afraid it may be too risky to enter long by catching the falling knife...

Also, should I wait until TDI crossed? but it may have gone away from the entry level... Pls advise. Thanks!!!!!!!

if there is a falling knife, the safer way to catch it is to catch it from above.

it's Friday, wait till next week opens since you are looking at D chart TF.
