I'm still mystified, given how precarious the global banking situation is currently, wtf people put 'speed of execution' above safety of funds. Especially when most retail traders shouldn't trade on anything lower than daily time frames. To me it proves they've bought hook line and sinker into the industry bullshit. All's it takes in one of these shitty bucket shops to come up with a new marketing term and the sheople would flock to be fleeced;

"today FXABCD.COM announces a revolution in trade execution, having discovered the god particle their Higgs boson fill or kill MT CERN platform will allow you to get filled in a blink of an eye. But they're not stopping there, stage two development will see thought execution whilst stage three will see those losing trades eradicated as you travel back in time to adjust your losses.."
"The meek shall inherit the earth.." Yeah right, good luck with that shit..

Spreadbetter- couldnt agree more.
SAFETY of funds first should be at the top of the list.
I am still on the hunt for a large bank that allows individual traders to trade fx/cfds from a seperate individual account - not a pooled segregated one.
I have looked at a lot of PDS/FSG's and still keep looking....
Anyone recommend one?

Ooh, never use FXOpen for scalping - even though they have tight spreads - prices are ugly and smoothed very very much.

You definately have to try RVD Markets - they are real ECN with the tighest spreads (you may check fxintel for the spread comparison) - with the $100 minimum only.
They should launch new website soon but for now english website is not a good one. Anyway give it a try - I'm working with them for 1.5 years and like it much

about RVD ... they have had server glich recently...therefore i think IT support doesn't do it best

I currently have two live accounts: one at sunbirdfx and the other at alapri. I always keep two live accounts at the same time in order to reduce the risk. These two brokers are highly recommended- both are real ECN STP brokers, no dealing desk, low spreads as you are looking for, and min deposit of 100-500 USD. Alapri has the advantage of high variety of instruments, and Sunbirdfx main advantages are fast executions and gives no requotes.

How about never scalp because it won't work long or medium term whatever broker you're with.

as pure scam: http://forexmagnates.com/nfa-hits-fx...-it-over-3-5m/

The best sequence: 2011, FXDD had removed profits totaling almost $280,000 from nine customer accounts. According to Green, FXDD unilaterally decided to remove the profits from these nine customer accounts because the customers had “manipulated” FXDD’s trading system by executing trades at allegedly “off-market” prices.

Thanks a lot. And again one broker less on my watchlist.

about time we have some one on our side, these brokers are no longer getting away with this, first fxcm, forex.com, now fxdd. i think all u.s. broker's are guilty of something being that the retail market was less regulated back then.

ECN, NDD, STP...bollox is what it is, marketing terms for the naive. To me the FX industry is a bit like the car insurance industry in the UK, you think you have choice but there's only about five insurance companies with a hundred different white label or own label brands..same with FX brokers. There's only about five worth a glance..and as for all this NDD ECN STP 'stuff' who cares?

Safety of your cash comes as the number one proviso and the vast majority of folk on this forum should only be trading off the dailies so instant fills in the market are irrelevant. I'll take a slow deliberate fill off Citi or Saxo for 1-2 pips over some a bunch of offshore shyster jokers washing money for the Russian mafia any day..
