Hi EGFX

Thanks for the chart. I believe oil is going down and yes we can get the $15
drop imho. I believe though we will attempt to go up first for a few days and then a big downdraught. This commodity is one of the ones I'm watching along with the copper and the grains

Hi

Just stumbled upon this thread. I also have a full time day job therefore trade off daily charts. I simply follow 10 days EMA and RSI above 50 to take a trade while keeping in view any resistance/support along the way.

Below is the AUDJPY buy limit as I was waiting for price to close above 80 which it did today.

Let's see how it unfolds.

Welcome to the thread Prftablefool. I am a fan of simplicity myself and most of my charts have just one MA and stochastics or MACD. I have a system similar to yours. I also contribute to a thread here on FF that uses the same 10 EMA on a daily chart.

Wish you loads of pips. Feel free to post your setups suitable to those with a full time job. Also watch out for posts by GolferFx - he is a bank of experience, maturity and trading nuggets.

Looks like the USD is in a corrective phase of a very long term decline.

I agree EG. However I am a dollar bull and if us$ only gets to the trend line we will get more crude selloff more that 20 handles. This is deflationary big time. Dont even think where the euro will be - parity? As you know the euro is the biggest component of the dollar index. Also by the time we get to 105 on the dollar index there would have been QE100!

The way to take this is to know that commodities are in a down cycle. Yes we will have sharp upmoves like today in soybeans but we the trend is down. I am currently looking at shorting sugar at the moment...

Today might be a kind of make or break day in the markets. There is a very pertinent Fed announcement due out today. Are we going to get QE3? If the market is expecting it and we only get educated waffle then down we go in earnest. My thoughts are that we will get the 'waffle' and also a committment to operation 'twist. I think it will be cleverly done that the markets (everything except the dollar) will rally for a bit.

From here on though I am looking for a setback in the markets that will be shocking in intensity. We have had a strong retracement that has lulled the markets into believing all is well. Suddenly investors will fell the need to run to the hills for cover...

My opinion only. What is yours?

Price has just taken out the 79.30 area as expected after a break of the downtrend line. Next target if we stay above here is 79.75...
