DislikedI have a problem in the code I found from arbomat would seek and transformed into the R value for the tick pairs of causing it does not work on other than the USD pairs but also it shows some errors, more vapor system requires information about the value of a tick. For example, in EURUSD 100 pips profit and EURGBP us 80 Pips loss in overall profit is 20 pips then but I have lost financially -240 USD 100 X 10 = +1000 (EURUSD) 80 X15.5 = -1240 (EURGBP).

DislikedThis is correct. I believe somewhere in the synth. code this is acknowledged by 7bit. Also why I've stayed only on USD.
Can you post the R code you think is the problem? Someone may be able to see the problem, I access several programming forums.Ignored
// convert the coefficients to usable hege ratios by multiplying // xxx/usd pairs with their quote. The results can then be // conveniently interpreted as multiples of needed Lots or Units. // also take care of the special case when fitting a spread // instead a trend for (i=0; i<pairs; i++){ // if we fit a spread then all pairs except this one are on the other // side (negative) and this one (the regressand) is 1 by definition if (!trend){ if (i == this){ coef[i] = 1; }else{ coef[i] = -coef[i]; } } // convert to units if (StringSubstr(symb[i], 0, 3) == "USD"){ coef[i] = coef[i] * iClose(symb[i], 0, 0); } // The following makes sure that if the first pair is an USD/XXX pair // it is normalized to 1 again and the lot sizes of the other ones // instead made smaller by the same factor. if (!trend){ if (StringSubstr(Symbol(), 0, 3) == "USD"){ coef[i] = coef[i] / Close[0]; } } }
DislikedI do not think is a bug in R code, but the data it uses, he uses the lot size calculations only the actual price of par, but the correct price should multiply the pip value of the corresponding pairs, and this should solve everything.Ignored
DislikedOk I think you are referring to this code then, I notice there is no similar thing done for non-usd pairs.
[code]
// convert the coefficients to usable hege ratios by multiplying
// xxx/usd pairs with their quote. The results can then be
// conveniently interpreted as multiples of needed Lots or Units.
// also take care of the special case when fitting a spread
// instead a trend
for (i=0; i<pairs; i++){
// if we fit a spread then all pairs except this one are on the other
// side (negative) and this one (the regressand)...Ignored
DislikedYes this should be done it is necessary coef divide the corresponding pip value pairsIgnored
DislikedForgive my ignorance, but what exactly do you mean by pip value? Can you please give an example? Thanks.Ignored
DislikedOne pip of EURUSD is 10 USD, one pip of USDJPY is 10 Yen, one pip of USDCHF is 10 CHF. This is is not taken into account with present tools. And it may be the weak point of Arbomat calculation.Ignored
DislikedEURUSD 1pips = 10 USD USDJPY 1 pips = 12,6 USD EURGBP 1 pips = 15,5 USD USDCHF 1 pips = 10.34 USD USDCAD 1 pips = 9.72USD USDNZD 1 pips = 13,50 USD USDAUD 1 pips = 10,08 USDIgnored
// convert to units //if (StringSubstr(symb[i], 0, 3) == "USD"){ // coef[i] = coef[i] * iClose(symb[i], 0, 0); } if (StringSubstr(symb[i]) == "EURUSD"){ coef[i] = coef[i] * 10; } if (StringSubstr(symb[i]) == "USDJPY"){ coef[i] = coef[i] * 12.6; } if (StringSubstr(symb[i]) == "EURGBP"){ coef[i] = coef[i] * 15.5; } if (StringSubstr(symb[i]) == "USDCHF"){ coef[i] = coef[i] * 9.72; } if (StringSubstr(symb[i]) == "NZDUSD"){ coef[i] = coef[i] * 13.5; } if (StringSubstr(symb[i]) == "AUDUSD"){ coef[i] = coef[i] * 10.8; }
DislikedThe MT4 is that this function
MarketInfo (competent vapor,MODE_TICKVALUE)
and nozzle types with corresponding alterations in pairs every 100 pip for example for EURGBP pair depends on the value price pip GBPUSD pairIgnored
Dislikedhmm ok my mql is limited.
I thought something like this is what you meant?
[code]
// convert to units
//if (StringSubstr(symb[i], 0, 3) == "USD"){
// coef[i] = coef[i] * iClose(symb[i], 0, 0);
}
if (StringSubstr(symb[i]) == "EURUSD"){
coef[i] = coef[i] * 10;
}
if (StringSubstr(symb[i]) == "USDJPY"){
coef[i] = coef[i] * 12.6;
}
if (StringSubstr(symb[i]) == "EURGBP"){
coef[i] = coef[i] * 15.5;
}
if (StringSubstr(symb[i]) == "USDCHF"){...Ignored
DislikedBut MODE_TICKVALUE can only give you the current value. It does not give you values for the past (for all pairs except AU, EU, GU, NU).
To create the most accurate data plots, you need to calculate the pip values for each pair at each point in time in the past.Ignored
