Love this thread. Both forex education and art appreciation!!!!!!You guys are too good.

Tell me folks, does anyone else have a picture of 5 really ugly guys, a nice lady and a handsome young man, stuck at the top of the forex Factory site. It is on any thread brought up on the screen. I don't know if those guys corrupted the feed?

Putin does not have the base of stability that many in the West think, or publish. I believe it is true to say that smart money is getting out, and where better to go at present than to the Swiss Franc - whilst instability rises in the Motherland, and other nations and de facto federations burn.

The fall of the Ruble can, I safely think, be attributed to the fall in demand for energy - the value that Russia (oil) has gained over the past few years is dropping fast, as, and much like Australia, Russia's weakness is its reliance on the strength of a global market hungry for raw materials that feed a machine that produces goods with added value; for example, a frying pan.

If I'm not willing to spend 50 Pounds, Euros or Dollars, on that new frying pan in the shopping centre a short car drive away from me, I deny Russia, Australia, and China, a cut on my disposable income (Russia in the form of the energy supplied to fuel the furnace that melts the alloy from Australia, which the Chinese worker moulds). If one looks at the drop in retail figures in all major economies for the past few years, I feel confident in stating that I am not alone in putting my money aside for a rainy day. Okay, maybe a frying pan is a poor example, but it is intended to highlight the interdependence of many economy’s, and how they could suffer if the target market shrinks.

This is another one of those topics that I have better articulated elsewhere, but I've been on site all day, and so a little knackered.

To concentrate on Russia: The country's problem is compounded by the fact that in addition to customers not buying, and thus economy of scale shrinking, the price of oil is dropping, and thus escalating the reduction upon the nation's capital reserves. This, as well as a property bubble… a property bubble that I covered some time ago, and which highlighted how RBS were heavily involved in.

Sounds like a plan...perhaps, the best way to trade potentially insane volatility is to use options. (obviously, not naked option: you want to limit your downside while opening your upside gain to the maximum). I wonder what the premium is on long eur/usd at this moment?hmmm...... I will head over to saxon thread and ask halkins about his option strategy on the spainish/euro debacle.

How hard it is to determine the identity of the Five members that fix the price? And possibly, their possible clients? One only need the name of possible clients, no? #2. The article stated that the price fixing is use to balance books, clear orders, etc....wont this be reflected in the gold futures market around that time(pre-london 10am)? Especially in the market profile analysis?

Hi mate the fixing is something i am working on to build a system around it will let ya know the analysis was from last night.

Alwell muchs rumours know about qe but whe getting close to 1.2650 where i still short the yuro. still following plan i see the qe hype still a rumour wanna see confirmation to shove chips on table i took that eu short last nigh pending triggered during london small pain then after ecb dropped putted stop be on my trades because i am greedy bastard but then it assrapped my trades. It leaved a mark you wanna be greedy now in this market good then whe assrape you.

I have read your post over, i really have nothing much to add. When i thought you havent made a point...i turn around and see it there. Nicely done. You cover a lot of basis in a tight, short, condensed manner.
You stated that gold reaction(short and medium term) vs bond reaction(long term)...unless there is a shock to the system....that is, shock vs gradual exogenous factors acting on the economic system and their effect on gold vs bonds reactions. Which makes me ponder two things.
#1: How much of this spanish mess and the subsequent QE to spain is getting priced into the bonds already, can you hazard a guess? Since this is gradual in comparison to shock...speaking of shock...that leads me to #2
#2: I think i will probably take a look at the japanese gold/bonds reaction to the FUKUSHIMA shock. (along your shock vs gradual statement). My memory is foggy on that one. I am sure you are on the money.

Hey 45CONDOR, I would give a screen shot but the picture covers all the top part of the frame, so I can't use the aids to do what needs to be done. I can not attach anything, just write. It is a picture of some of you on this thread. There are 5 of them ( all really ugly) and a nice looking lady in a striped top and bag over the shoulder. Good looking young kid in front of a bald guy with a grey shirt on. The shot was taken probably in Florida. It was on this thread several months ago.

This has messed up my Forex Factory page.

question: are the pairs/crosses limited to eur/usd only?
or all the USDs are welcome?(gbp/usd, aud/usd, etc)...
