I will stay where I belong, at my futures broker and trade the micro euro with one pip spread and no slippage.

BTW, when did you look at the micro futures volume last time? With the liquidity CME provide you with you can hardly trade them.

if anyone is interested in trading with LMAX, with their ultra tight spreads and low charges(euro has an average spread of 0.4 pips opposed to more than 1.5 pips at most brokers), send me a PM....

What deal you have ?

People of ForexFactory,

MT4 is by design not suitable for real ECN/Exchange environments. So called "MT4 bridges" are mere workarounds and not solutions to this. If you want the real thing, avoid MT4.

Thank you & good day.

(MT4 facts like this should be all written in one thread and stickied or something so that everybody can see it. I'm too lazy to do it.)

Very well spoken...

MT4 was designed by Russian crooks ...eh...programmers to rip off clients..

Soon I am going to be testing non-MT4 access to LMAX through Armada. The execution quality should be the same as when trading directly through LMAX. If it's not (which would mean something is wrong with Armada) I will share my experience.

ok, here we go...i just finished a deal with lmax (on a totally different aspect) a week ago....i usually lurk around FF where i have been a member for long and so this thread struck me when i was looking around yesterday...lemme speak to them and see what is the best offer i can get for you guys, purely cos i thought i would help....i will talk to them on Monday and let u guys know...

as for those looking to scalp, it pays to be as close to the servers as possible and communicate thru a means where the communication time is kept to the minimum....so those who want to trade seriously and want to scalp, look for a broker/mtf or whatever that gives low spreads and also trade thru APIs and progrms rather than thru MT4....this is what i feel knowing both the trading and brokering side of things...

u can compare spreads across various brokers here

Would be interesting what kind of commission lmax offers to IBs. Probably depends on how much volume they bring in. Aramada charges $20 and apparently still makes some money, so lmax gets significantly less than the $20 from Armada trades. Question is how much less. Guessing its only worthwhile if you are able to get a lot of clients trading through your IB. Then again, the only expenses such an IB has is to basically maintain a website.

If an IB makes $5 per million (probably on the high side), your clients need to trade a billion to make $5K.

not sure as i need to check but it should be anywhere between $18-$22 per side per million....so if u trade standard lots of 100k size, that would be around $2.2 one side per 100k lot....

yep it should and it will...but unless they know what ur volume is, they cant afford to slash rates...so they start with the max and then, like any others, i guess they would reduce it depending on the volume that u do.....

It might be just the greedy me but I don't care if i drop a yard or a micro - if some filthy broker obviously scams me of 50 bucks each trade or 100 round-turn I'd rather give that to the next bum on the street for some booze. He deserves it more that is for sure. It's so funny... people are like "wtf do i care if i loose a pip aka 50$ in a trade where i do 100 pips". When cashier at the supermarket accidentally gives them back 1 cent less they freak out...

If someone decides where 100 bucks of my money go no matter if it was from 200 or 2 bln at the beginning then it's me and not some scum broker.

If you don't care about money remember that the next time and give some decent tip to the friendly cashier, waiter or whoever deserved it through their actions and make their day.

I'd say about 0.3 pips on average. I don't have enough data though, and won't have it as I'll be switching from MT4 execution to API sometime next week.

Thanks keep us updated on the direct api slippage with your trading style.

Yes well.. an IB without an existing client base probably lacks negotiating power. If you could tell them you bring in X clients who do Y volume per month, it would probably be different. Chicken/egg problem i guess.
