sorry again because I can't see clearly your charts could please tell me how you draw your fibos like from 1.3xxx to 1.2xxx.

when u dont find any entry on forex do u watch cfd...or stocks?

I am looking at the USDCAD H4 and the AUDCAD D, there might be a good trading setup there. The AUDCAD is has not retraced all to the SMA, so have to be patient.

Hello all.
These are my trigger charts, for this week.
Sorry I've been busy with MemorialDay Weekend, here in South Beach, Florida, so as you can imaginne, it just drained the HELL OUT OF ME!! SOOOO MANY PARTIES.
Anyways, back to trading. THANK GOD !!
This week, ho, hum, nothing new. If you've read some of my earlier posts, you'll see I've been riding these exact same pairs DOWN, DOWN, DOWN, for about four weeks now. Setup chart is the H4 Timeframe.
Up 498 pips right now.
CHECK OUT MY POSTS FOR THE PAST 4 WEEKS !!


As you know I take out some money every time I reach the red FIB Expansion levels. Let's see how the rest of the week goes.

I draw the FIB retraces, Trendlines, and Fib Expansion levels on the SETUP chart, which, in this case is the H4 timeframe. THEN, you jump into the shorter timeframes, (in this case the H1) , to pinpoint the EXACT entry point , and watch the trade in REAL TIME.

Yes I do. But I don't actively trade them. When the financial crisis in US was happening I opened a few practice accounts using CFDs, shorting the US housing related companies. It was fun, so I fool around with a couple of practice accounts, just to see if I would be "right" , in my perceptions of a company, but no, I don't have a LIVE CFD account.
If I traded equities, I woud definately use CFDs, rather than actual stocks.

To each its own, of course, but i dont use smas as s/r zones. Of course, i use sma to indicate to me the velocity of the trend....the health of the trend, as it is.

I wait for confluence...i want price to reach or almost reach the confluence of h4 trendline and s/r before going to trigger chart.

i want my trigger chart trendline to have 3 touches. even though the H4 is the setup chart...i sometimes go all the way to 15 mins .

What do you mean ?
What i do is wait for price to retrace. As it's retracing I draw the RETRACEMENT TREND LINE. Then wait......tick, tock....tick, tock....
Then once price breaks through the retracement trendline you wait for th PULLBACK (price to try to continue in the opposite direction of the retracement trendline breakout.) If price shoots back above the retracement trendline, and STAYS there, or continues onward, that's called a " FAKEOUT", but if price continues on, in the direction of the retracement trendline breakout, you're in, because you've set your entry 10 pips below (or above) the breakout.
That's why the trades always make money because you don't try to catch th very TOP, of the swing. A swing traders job is to catch 70% - 80 % of a big price swing. Swing traders WAIT for the move to begin, then confirm the move direction, THEN place the order in the direction of the main trend, catching 70%+ of the tota swing.
Look at my charts. That's all there is to it. Do this, over, and over, and over, and over, every week.
My favorite expression I heard for what we do is, " Make pips, take pips, repeat. " that's it.

How do I select the swings ?
It's easy. If when I apply the FIB Expansion, it shows me a potential profit of 100 pips or more, I take it. Anything less, I leave alone, beacause I give my trades a nice wide stoploss to play aroud in. Round number (RN) stops. No matter what.

shouldn't the R:R ratio be of more concern than just using arbitrary pips for swing selection?

Here's a quick tip. USD/CAD inversely tracks the price of Oil. pull up a USD/CAD chart and a Crude Oil chart. Notice how price moves i the opposite directions ? USD/CAD is the Oil pair. When Oil is down USD/CAD is up. And vice versa. So use USD/CAD as your Oil trades. War in the Middle East sell, All good, buy.

You're exactly right!!! And, as I said, I give myself BIG stoploss space for price to "do it's thing". That's why I need at least 100 pips profit to give me a R:R of at least 3:1. Minimum !!
And, as I stated before, I put stops behind the next round number. No matter what. If I traded some crappy pair like EUR/GBP which gives out an average of less than 60 pips a day, it wouldn't be worth it to me. I look for pairs that average 80+ pips a day, with a swing profit of AT LEAST 100 pips. 3 to 1 Risk Reward Ratio.
*** Plus who wants to wait 3 days for a measly 100 pips from EUR/GBP whe I can make that much in ONE NIGHT from a pair like EUR/NZD , or several others. That just ties up your money unnecessarily.
