Due to family issues I will only be trading sporadically, if at all for a week or two. I will post when I can.

my dear friends i suggest you to beware from zulutrade , i am one of the biggest signal providers, (i was a while no. 1 rated signal provider) i did request my money 3 month ago , but they never pay me, when i chat to tham they are promising me - until the end of the day or until the end of the week, but they don't pay, it seems to be a scam !!!

Things starting to settle down. I am on taxi duty Wednesday through Friday next week, so those days will be scrubbed. Might try to trade Monday and Tuesday next week if I feel I am sufficiently "in the zone", otherwise it will be a wee bit longer before I resume regular posts.

Managed some trading today. Missed the early morning move, as I am still attempting to exercise caution! Waited for the retrace, but this never happened. Was tempted when S1 was broken to the downside, but a tad to close to US Open for me. So I waited for 13:30 and by just before 14:00 there hadn't been a significant move back towards 103/S1. I took this failure of 103/S1 as my clue to sell and exited a short time later for +65.

Hi All, new to the forum and trading.
I came across PATe by chance and have been studying the materials for around 2 month now along with using a demo trading account and its principles are realy starting to click in to place with trading Oil. Could someone advise me on what would be the best advice on making the leap to trading with real money? To make it a worth while 2nd income what level of starting capital and amount per pip be sensible?

Thanks

Hi RR

that really depends on how much you want to eanr and much capital you have available/willing to risk. In addition you need to understand that trading demo and live are very different.

i would suggest trading a small micro account with min lot sizes and see how you get on with the mental aspect of trading a live account.

assuming you trade only WTI for focus;you need to decide on

starting bank
risk %
R:R
profit targets

i would look here http://www.babypips.com/school/

however a simple explanation;

assuming £1000 starting bank
risk 1% (1 - 3% is normal when starting out but no more than 3%)
daily pip target 30 pips
stop loss (risk)

so :

1000 x 1% = £10
stop say 30 pips
£10/30 = 0.33 (0.3 lots)
daily target +30 pips
R:R = 1:1

so in essence you are risking 30 pips/£10 to gain 30 pips/£10 and Risk Reward R:R = 1:1

On this model one winning trade per day would grow your bank by 1% per day (dont forget compounding) and up to 20% pcm but this doe not take into account losers.

Obv u can scale in scale out according your risk profile and your R:R will go up if your stop is 30 pips but your take profits are say 60 pips ... R:R then = 1:2

Anyway have a lot at babypips as that is a good point to start

Hope that helps

This is a trade from yesterday. Considering how the pair has been this week not too bad. The low held so I took the target at the BRN and daily pivot since the opening was below the daily pivot. this quickly changed to a rule #7 so i held back after that to see what the pair would do. There were a few more opportunities, but I did not get in those.

Have been following Julies PATe method for the last 2 months.
While i am no expert yet - it is all starting to make sense to me now.

Its taken a while and quite a few demo/small trades to work up the confidence to trade in this way exclusively - and i honestly think this is the way that best suits my psychology.
Julie has been really patient and has emailed me back on a heap of queries that I initially had. She really deserves a mention as without her responses I would not have progressed in my own trading journey.

I signed up for her membership course as a result - did anyone else join her course?

Cheers
Matt

Folks,

I know things have been a little quiet recently but this is in no way because I am dissatisfied with PATe trading.

I am currently experiencing some domestic and medical issues which is keeping away from doing anything much, including trading, but "I'll be back" soon.

Matt, yes I signed up too.

Thanks Speed trip for your reply, the biggest problem that I am facing at the moment is being able to trade regularly due to working commitments. Ultimately I would like to leave work and give this a shot. I would be interested to hear if anyone has had a similar conundrum when they started trading? How do you make the leap from no job to full time home trading?

Thanks

Hi,

Just a question that I have from following Julie for well over a month. Looking at jumping with my money the end of this month.

My question is because I work full time can I use price trading action any time.

So walk in from work at 15:30 get my charts up would then be able to use this if an opportuntiy presented it self.

Hope this makes sense!

Cheers

Ian

Hola,

I was ready to go full-time around last month, but PATe was extremely interesting to me and thought it was worth it to put those plans on the back burner to learn this method. I must say it's quite possibly one of the easiest methods I have used.

As far as time and trading, I am CST and get up at 2:00 am to trade London. Occasionally I'll get some in with NY.

But get familiar with how the method works and then you'll be fine. You'll see what I mean.

Have you gotten in touch with Julie? She is extremely helpful and would be able to answer these better than us I think.

I signed up too. I find the evening reports very helpful indeed. I'm picking up all sorts of snippets of advice, as well as them answering all the questions that arise earlier in the day.

Small confession - this will get me into trouble LOL - I have added lines for previous week hi/lo, and previous day hi/lo.

Another fractured week here with Social Services tomorrow and Hospital again Friday.

I'm sure things will settle down soon and I can apply myself properly. I will not trade my real money account in the midst of all these distractions.

Jikkie, I also have yesterday's high/low (as taken from livecharts) too. Informative and I use as possible exits, I do not use them for entries unless they coincide with PATe price points (i.e. close to a rn/mp/pivot).

Folks,

I am having some health issues, namely heart related issues. I am going to have to take a prolonged rest from trading, and therefore won't be able to keep this thread going.

Hope you all get the pips you deserve, and I hope to be back trading in the near future.
