a perfect H4 trade if u all agree

same set up is there for EU and USDCHF buit if u all agree this i cna get the power to go for other two trades...
Ignored

Hi yogesheena,

That's is not a perfect setup. Market do not always respond to the D-channel. We need to look at PA.
X-man mentioned that we need "extra patience and lots of dispcipline" in his S3 4H pdf description.

The discipline requires us to wiat for every candle/bar close before we decide if there is a setup or not, and also making a quick check of the other rules.

In this trade, the H4 candle has not close and I thinbk it was the first hour when NYO.

There is also a EMA4 ( period4,shift 0) which will often help keep us in check.

See attached where I commented on your chart.

Good attempt but there are good lessons for everyone following this thread.

Hi,

Just an update of my view on EU now.
There may be a good trade setup for those trading D chart TF.
But one of my trading rule: DO NOT chase price.
The last swing low is more than 170 pips away.
How to get a better entry price with a smaller initial R?

Patience ... wait.

Do you see the H1 TDI blue BB narrowing? Also look at H4 and D.
But always check PA which will be your final decision.

regards,

Hi,
Not sure I agree with the analysis here.....we enter at the open of the second candle after the break of the green across the red ( whilst breaking blue bands) all this happened in exactly this order.........the 4 hour and daily trend is down, it bounced off the channel........that's it! all main rules met....and trade lost....it happens.......we dont have look for absolute reason for every losing trade or we will never enter a trade! Sure the daily had crossed but I would like to see analysis over 10 years of only taking the above setups when the daily cross is in line?

which SHI channel indicator you believe in?
two different SHi channel indicator posted in this thread show different.
How much weight do you put for each of the rules?
PA is king like what X-Man always said.

Hi J

I was focus my comment on the setup not on the outcome of this trade.
After all, like many traders say it all depends on the traders' style.
X-Man is agressive, so is Big E in his TMS and Dean Malone' synergy method is conservative.

I agree Emmanuel every trader has his 'style' so to speak but rules are rules and this is X-man thread and if I am not mistken we follow his rules unless they have changed.....otherwise this is not a thread about X-man system as it is meant to be but I general chat about what different peopl think? Just my opinion but I think it confuses people if we have too many opinions...............
Have a great day everyone!
J

For those that are interested in the original X-Man S3 4H Swing Method, here is the equity curve if you took every trade as per the rules (the only difference is I dont trade USD/CHF) from January 1 this year to present betting 1% of total Equity per trade. The results speak for themselves and yes I took most of these; my actual equity curve including missed trades, slippage, mistakes etc was around 70% of this........you dont need any more indicators or anyone to tell you what they think, just follow the rules, do your backtesting (I backtested this for 7 years ) and place your bets.......yes the drawdowns are larger than 2.5% historically, 19% was the worst......and guess what.... there are losing trades, lots of them....but if you do the maths and follow good money management techniques you get through them....oh and you will make a ton of cash too......enjoy!

hi Fxaddicts,

well not every technical setup will turn out to be winner. this trade ended in -35pips.

still have a lot to practice using M15 as early entry and learning from a great trader Phx62.

Below links to X-Man posts referencing Phx62:
http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?p=5156790#post5156790
if you guys want to have an early entry then follow the way Phx62 trades, he goes to the 15m chart to enter and catch the momentum early, so you wont have to wait for the entire 1H candle to form then enter.

Guys im posting charts from a very well experienced trader that trades the E/U 1H method his name is PHX62.
He doesnt always trade exact times but you can learn from his charts.

Hi J,

thanks for sharing the equity curve chart.
it shows that the S3 4H method works for you. Well done mate!

Notice the numbers : 89 trades, 55 wins, 39 losses. .. by sheer coincidence these number 89,55, 34 are also Fibonacci series numbers.

I was sitting in Larry Pasavento seminar the other day and he was explaining about Fibonacci and some other stuff related to the cosmic. Quite funny listening to him describe what some traders analyse the market and mixing thing like astrology. Sorry this is off topic.

hi emmanuel, thanks for sharing the post, wow, realise this trend is so full of information and sharing. After some time of trading, i came to realise that there is no holy grail, its more of mastering the system you have on hand and really executing it flawless, ya no such thing as flawless so thats where the discipline and money management comes in.
hi james, thanks for sharing your equity curve, its always good to see traders achieving the results they want. i am going to kickstart my backtest as well, will be starting with the 1hr session first. Lots n lots of backtesting

Hi Yogesheena,

Your mistake is not considering the D1 tdı cross and direction.Since the d1 cross was up, shortng with a h1 and h4 cross down would only be a suicide, I know that channel bounce made you sure about it, but that channel line is nothing just a line.Big boys dont even see that line. What you need to do is using mtf tdi.Since the d1 was up you need to wait for 1h and 4h to cross up then long it.Here is the indicator to do that. You need 1h, 4h and d1 tdi on chart. When all are in same direction with a cross go for it.

If you...

THanks brothers for the explanation i had lost hope only , one more favor bro can you mail me your TPL or just poast here is also fine , from now on i will look for all the TDI cross at one direction

thanks this solve lot of my problems
