What goes up, must come down...but next year

Germany needs a much weaker Euro, after all, for the currency itself to survive on the basis of competitive German exports.

I think Greece will indeed exit the EZ this year which will prop the Euro around 1.37-1.40 Highs into early 2013. From then on, we should be in for some spectacular devaluation down to the seventy cents mark before the next bullish cycle begins in 2016. From the charts' perspective the ECB's decision to "delay the pain" might come out to be the sensible one, after all

Hi, W.D. Bayer. In the same vein, will Sterling go back up to above 2 or perhaps even to 7 or 8, what comes down must go up?

Do you think if next week's squeeze (already started last Friday) can bring it to 3000 area?

Let, I little to provoke you. I have important levels for opening the market or in the first 4 hours. This is the level of angle 3x1 - 1.2792. If the price move above this level could mean the end of the trend. Another important level is support of 1,2760. If the price move below this level can expect an attack of 1.2653 and then 1.2637.

295s maybe, doubt we'll see the 30 handle this week. I think we'll retest the lows later in the week or during next, the January one is there for the taking, and 2010 June/July weekly (1.2443) gap is more likely filled than the first one in the current slide (1.3083) during the coming 2-3 weeks. The 1.27 rejection seems just too obvious to play out with such recent major lows around there

I'll come back to you when I make up my mind on the Sterling, it is one mad cow, that one

Hey, it might be the problem with your broker only. I checked multiple charts including direct exchange CME charts, there is no gap there.

It occurred on quite a few North American brokers, as it coincided with 4 July holidays, I am aware the gap isn't there on most platforms. Anyway, it plays no role in my analysis, I simply mentioned it as a marker on the chart as to how deep the cross can dive before it finds long-term support
