i dont know if i am thinking the opposite of this concept. above 0.25 wouldnt the candle be at the top of the band looking to short the market instead of buying and visversa.

sorry about that after immediately after i posted i realize i was missing h1 or lower time frame look at the h4 range -0.25 to 0.25

I noted yesterday, this USDCAD short is not confirmed. It would likely evolve today if it weren't for news, I admit that, but still... it's tempting, but not confirmed.

Remember trade small lot sizes it won’t take you out and the money you save on SL’s are profits, also stress won’t eat you up because it’s gone, think small win big. There’s always another trade.

See, this is one of the problems here. I know we are talking about different pairs here, but I like to see confluence between pairs. OK, JPY is here a complex issue due to possibility of intervntion if it falls to deep, but stilll. To elaborate:
- USDCAD is to fall, so weak US
- EURUSD is to raise, so weak US
- hopefully NZDUSD will raise, so again - weak USD
- And issue. USDJPY is to raise big time. So... strong USD.

In my eyes, something is wrong in this picture. Either USD strenght will continue (and USDJPY can go up soon) and then EURUSD gap will not be closed for quite some time, or USD will give up, but then I wound't enter USDJPY not even with small position.

Just skimmed through the thread.. I've been trading the 5m with symphony for about 2 weeks.. ive had little success but nothing to brag about. I've added the tma slope-scalping to my charts and backtesting it looks amazing for staying out of trades when price is ranging.


Exiting once tma closes grey (ranging).. or if target is hit.. or if price gets too far past the tma extreme

Also for the 5m.. what should I set the channels to?? they seem way too small as they are set to 1h or 4h?

EDIT: Nvm.. I changed the atr multiplier to 3 and I added the center line to the bands. I will only take longs when price is below the center line and only shorts when its above to avoid getting into trades too late.

What do you guys think?? Wish me luck!

Just a thought... there are 2 parts to the equation: USDCAD to fall, so weak USD OR strong CAD. So even if USD is indeed weak, you only need to have JPY EVEN WEAKER to give the appearance that the USD is strong in the USDJPY pair, indciating the USDJPY will go up. So just because the USD is stronger than JPY doesn't mean in the overall picture that USD is strong.

3 is less than 1000, so 3 is a "weak" number. 2 is less than 3, so 3 is a "strong" number. So 3 can be both "strong" AND "weak" at the same time.

Whilst I am wading through the post would it be possible to tell me what indicators you are displaying on your screen now, as there must have been quite a number of changes and I would like to follow what is happening as I read the posts.

Thank you 4rx i have all the contents of the packet.zip but there is a lot of templates and indicators in it and what I want to know is what Alorente currently has loaded on his screens. I can't imagine that every single indicator is needed.

Btw system looks great for determining extremes.. I've added the 30 tma channel to the 5m chart as well as the current TF.

I will be testing this fully this week and let you all know how it goes!! thanks!

What timeframe is recommended for Al's magic template, please?
Just thought I should post a chart of the Alternate counts I was mentioning before, its very hard to visualize these things with no chart.

This week should be pivotal for many things.

Of the two counts here on this chart, I think time-wise and due to one of the legs, the Alt count having 4 not finished yet but much later, is the one I prefer.

So these are the bullish Alternate counts, to my otherwise very bearish count of Gold

Two very important patterns on weekly charts to watch out for.

82 is really big for USD as you can see on this chart.

Eur stopped on strong support (as did Gold), 1.25 is key no matter how its looked at, getting through that will likely set off the other doom scenario I posted a while back. Either of the two upper Necklines could be considered valid as well. I think the long standing downtrend for the Eur, is going to continue before it ever reverses.

Semafor repaints yes... otherwise we all would have been trading from the one to the next making big bucks! Pity hey!
