Hey Quezoy ,
talking about divergence , i think you have to measure the highs in an uptrend . Lows for a downtrend

Hi Rust,

Just Fyi if you are interested.

Yep, thats hidden divergence. Shows the continuation of a trend. some information can be found on this tread as well as these folks trade only divergence/hidden divergence combined with PA.

Hi,

My first entry in this excellent thread.

I wonder what you experts have to say about the setup that now is building up in gold?

I'm at breakeven now on the usd/cad if anyone is interested, since we are retesting the highs.

I've locked in profit under the BUOB that is forming. At this point if price comes back into the consolidation area it negates the story that I have been forming so I may as well lock in some profit

Hey Micke

Welcome to the thread

Anything in particular you were looking at? I see us near the bottom of the weekly wedge and price is looking like its trying to make a move for the 1500 BRN. Right now I would be in wait mode around this area and see if it holds this week

Hey Euphoria

Looks like you nailed those entries pretty cool! I don't touch trade as much some here, few times a month. So I tend to be super super picky when I do. They look good to me though, the jpy using the BEOB on a retrace to all those bar lows. That's right up James16 alley and the usd/chf using the previous swing high(bit trickier without PA confirmation but strong move through the high).

Looks good to me, some nice moves you caught there

Mike

Thanks a lot for the feedback Mike, one has to be very picky with these and look for a number of clues like the bar lows you mentioned and the strong move through the high, trend lines, ppz etc. But these are golden due to risk reward ratios..

Once again thanks for the feedback..

regards,

fx

Hey man ,
I heard the term preemptive from Mike . It means that the break has not occurred yet .
Hope this charts make possible scenarios clearer :

Very nice. I had (still have for that matter) a pending order on the pull back to the daily LCS that didn't get triggered. Price went within 10 pips and has dropped like a rock. Keep us in the loop on how you manage the trade.

That daily BUOB is a nice "excuse for entry" IMO... pretty easy to spot where to place the S/L.
Many choose unhappiness over uncertainty.

Everything is clear, Thanks Rust. In that case we had no exact retrace to previous support so I missed that break.
If not up, then down, otherwise sideways :-)

Hi guys, took short this morning on EURGBP H4 after DBHLC formed and moved from resistance. I also checked higher timeframe and saw that yesterday price retested this resistance line, but closed strongly below it (forming something like inverted pinbar), I thought bears got strength (this pretty much supported my idea to take this short). I suppose this was just one of those trades that just donīt work out. Was my analysis correct?

Give us the chart - always - we can not know, what you mean exactly. Strong bullish move - i would be looking for long (unless I see a veeeery strong signals short). But for long i want:
1. Break (close above ppz)
2. Some move up
3. Pullback
4. Entry signals on important lvl

Either way for me - this very large ppz - 1.6 to 1.638...and their can be messy (for me i mean)
