Lol I was talking Friday about getting out of my trades before Oanda goes to weekend spread.
I'm glad I did, at this moment EURCAD has a spread of 35 pips

Support is holding for OIL so there is going to be a BULL run on OIL - strengthen the Canadian and with the EUR weakening as expected - EUR/CAD is a perfect SHORT trade to 1.2750

That's about a 150 pip run

Hi Killerwhale... When you mention on parity, it means with USD/CAD, Strong USD against CAD, short eur/cad and if USD/CAD weak, long eur/cad? Or the long/short you are referring purely only on USD/CAD.

1.27 or 1.28 ? i am short @1.2936 and was thinking of a TP.
u think eur/cad can fall that much ?

Hello Killerwhale and HDA,

I thought that since I dont post a lot in the rooms I would give this a shot. I have been watching the EurCad and have shorted it in my practice accoount. The reason for the short was because it attempted to break through the 200 EMA four different times and was unable to. Now this is where I need some guidance, can you give the newbie some ideas where to set his stop loss? HDA you and I have talked about this before and I would like to hear your thoughts on this again.

I forgot to say that I was looking at a 15 min chart when it was trying to break through the 200 ema. Still trying to figure out what TF to use as well. HDA says 3 hours but my MT4 does have that set up yet.

i'm looking at daily chart and i see a descending triangle. currently we are at the bottom horizontal trednline and price is figuring out whether to bounce and go long or break the horizontal line. i only see this going long at least few hours.

Ok I closed my position for now and made a few pips. Went short at 1.2914 and closed at 1.28870. Looking at the 15 min chart it attempted to break through 1.2887 several times without any luck. Of course as I type this its drifting further down. Oh well Im just a newbie trying to learn a few things and 27 pips isnt all that bad!

I'm long @ 1.2867 SL 1.2859 TP open.
Note we have a bullish garley on the weekly with the 0.618 and 1.618 extension as well as bullish butterfly on the H1 and H4. If my SL gets taken out I'll probably look to re-enter.

We had good moves and the best times, I'm not in the market .
Now, maybe the price reaches 1.2879 or 1.2887. Little divergence in RSi14 M30. Donīt follow me, I'm also learning, constantly learning.
