Interesting Comments.

I'm in the UK, and MT4 order execution speed for me via Armada has a median of 140ms, see chart below. The chart shows market order execution speed for some recent trades (Live account, with an open authenticated session). The large values were when the MT4 authenticated session was closed.

For now i'm happy with Armada's service

yes, i,ve armada acount live and vps in England, but market order execution is about 400ms.
What is yours VPS ?
if you be so kind to tell

I'm using your script on several broker, demo and live.
Recently I got this email from IC Markets AUS:

"MT4 Demo Disabled

Our demo server is receiving hundred of order updates from what
appears to be a robot making order amendments. We have gone
through the logs and cannot see any logic behind the
amendments so we will be disabling the account to prevent
further load on the demo server."

What a bucketshop! Seems their demo server has less power than an iPad

Comparing them with 2 other brokers I use, they are quite all right during the news - haven't had any trades rejected, the spread though was not as tight as it usually is. But it was not so bad and to be honest, and it was somewhat expected that it would widen..

Latency-wise, they claim to execute trades on their web trading platform in 3 milliseconds, but on their MT4 its a few milliseconds slower as it goes through their MT4 server..

Multicharts should be as quick as their web platform, but as it requires a very powerful computer and takes up...

As long as you have at least dual-core laptop or desktop with 1gb ram free, you should be fine. Not sure how many windows/worksheets are running, or if any automation is running. Try using MemClean. Free and unlike other older memory cleaners, it does not slow down the computer at all. it trims the process' working memory that it is not using. The guy also has another tool DiskMax, which actually freed up over 5GB on the vps and 4GB on the home laptop. Very useful when the total vps space is 30-50 GB, and windows 2008 is hogging almost 20 GB, especially after SP1.
Measure trends automatically with zero lag

Thanks - will check it out..

Have to say though that out of all of LMAX's platforms, I find the web-based one the quickest and best. MultiCharts is OK if you are running complicated strategies, but for simple point and click trading, I always use the web platform.

Don't see what difference that will make.. The liquidity will still be the same. Unless I am missing something..

seems to work well. I'm guessing they just want to make a bridge they can call their own, not because the current one has issues.

You would also consider Pathfinder Trader by Fastbrokers if you scalp through LMAX. The dom is super. Have a look at the picture.

Great DOM, bad charting.

2 is not enough, we need more LMAX IB's.

That sucks to hear. I have not installed Pathfinder yet as I am using MT4 for now. In the future, I will have 3 MT4's running (have 3 now) for charting and EA's etc and the one Pathfinder for DOM and other things. Still would have been nice to have good charting, and the way they go on about PF I thought they did.

I think more will join in the future. Lmax is not a bad setup after all. As far as charting in my opininon is not bad at all.

Yes, you have to enable it from the main settings, then you can do one click from the dome or through the chart trading.

Can any scalpers or momentum traders share their experience on Lmax's slippage? Are they actually better than MB?

Lmax claims that there is no ‘Last Look’ from the liquidity providers. Is this statement true?

Lmax's Order Execution Policy: In the event that the bid and ask prices of an instrument quoted on the MTF widen beyond the "trusted" range prescribed by the MTF, the MTF will not accept any new Orders until the affected bid and ask prices fall back to within the "trusted range".

How frequent the trading suspended because of "untrusted" range?

Thanks.
