So far with V4 of PVS during backtest there is no difference with Rule 1 and Rule 2 both on and just Rule 2 on. If you set Rule 1 to true and Rule 2 to false then no trades are taken. Is this normal condition? Also what do the rules look for? If you type zero in the take profit and turn on R1/S1 profits it takes first trade with no SL or TP.

I'm still working with ETB to discover the best KISS approach, currently testing two options pararelly:

1. EMa 5/10 cross at H4 with D1 RSI filter - here I have some positive results but I'm stil trying to optimize to Jumping stops and trade exit to maximize the results.

2. TDI cross at H4 with D1 RSI filter - will start this week to see the potential.

I was working for a month with H1 set up but I didnt discover anthing profitable.

I have a question to you -> are you interested in coding some additional features to Mister Edd Haiken Ashi H4 system ?

i was playing with it for a while and see that the system needs improovements.

OR -> do you think incorporating standard trade entry from Mister Edd system to ETB is possible ?

I think it would add additional value to ETB.

Took a quick peak, seems simple, but didn't have time to read the whole thread. Could you put together a list of the steps the EA would go through in picking a trade, no need for trade management at this time, just steps to open a trade.

If its not to involved it may be best to make a EA just for this.

I'm new to this wonderful thread. Is there a possibility of adding in Volatility Quality filter for your next release.

Eg. Trading Timeframe use H1. Buy sell signal trigger by Volatility Quality indicator using higher timeframe.

Its simple as hell,

ENTRY:
1 - Haiken Ashi candle colour change (in his strategy the entry is only during first 3 candles, if one of this candles has changed colour - wick and body - then you enter -> if this happens behind the 3 first candles -> you don't enter.

What I would suggest is simple entry based on Haiken Ashi candle colour change (the same as we have with current ETB as one of the exit set up).

2. They have one filter - Ravi FX filter - for filtering the entries -> I think ETB entry filters are far more then enough to start playing with the entries set up - I like the daily RSI.

EXIT - their exit - SL&TP- set ups are the same we already got in ETB,
-> If you would copy ->paste the exits from ETB it would be great start to play with it.

As you can see its all about adding entry based on HA candle colour change and to play during first three candles.
Thats why adding this to ETB is the best options for me as gives you great pattern to choose from different entry/exits.

I know you don't want to add more to ETB -> and I believe you would choose the best option either adding to ETB or doing new EA -> you are the boss here !

I'm attaching the EA description to have a look on.

The only filter, is this - RAVI FX filter.

Candle colour change is very basic entry and needs good filters - ETB has got that -> and more and more.

The same with exits - ETB has the very wide range to choose from - thats why I like it so much.

These (template attached) are the results after an approximate study from the 1st of April until now.

SETTINGS:

  1. eurusd renko b4 wicked
  2. ichi 3-3-13
  3. not working if London closed
  4. open on closed candle after kumo (no clean candle outside kumo)
  5. open if time sma 13 >= time sma3
  6. safety broker s/l = -10 at open
  7. hidden s/l = -4 from from bid if buy/-6 if sell
  8. if price moves in open direction after 8 pips then broker s/l following kumo at 0(*)

approximate RESULTS:

  1. 41 major good positions (about more then 700 pips)
  2. 53 minor bed positions (an average of 6pips each=318)

...
But of those 53 minor loosing trades only 27 are really "reverse" positions. It means that all the other 26 are "increasing" ones. In these trades we can see 2 or 3 candles in the right direction and then hidden s/l could be moved at price open +2 (BEJS) when price is +8. So: no losses for those 26 positions. And, with this setting, major positions seem not be effected.

CONCLUSION:

  1. 41 major good positions (about more then 700 pips)
  2. 27 minor positions (an average of 6pips each=162)
  3. 26 zero positions (gain=0)

PROFIT: 538 pips / factor = 3.3

* broker s/l is used instead of hidden one because while following kumo it will never be<5 pips from price and then in cases of little retracements it remains at the kumo level of the last price accepted by broker avoiding premature closures in major positions.

i was'nt able to trade or Demo trade much for personnal reasons and my results are shown is a mix of different strat testings but still not bad, im protecting the amount like it's a real account.

Don't try to get 100% winners, because it's impossible and you may end up tweaking and the whole setup you have now will not work, by looking at your TRADE EXPLORER i would say you got it right 15 days 548 pips thats great do not change anything to try to get 100% ... IMO you found 1 of ETB's sweet settings.

im aiming 100 pips per week and your getting almost 3x that so i would TEST your setup for sure

Well, we all have to wait for the new ichi Seller9 version. Until then we are not able to filter time with double sma.

About the results I want to clarify that renko offline charts made by ea and script tend to vary from time to time (it means that if you build an offline chart, then close the platform, then restart and recreate it you could obtain a chart with little or medium differences from the previous one, especially if created with candles of small dimension)

An other very important thing comes from the possible new version configuration of hidden s/l and broker s/l. I don't know exactly which part of my ideas will be considered and put in the ea by Seller9. Obviously a proper s/l setting is vital in a so fast scalping method.

So, I think we have to be patient and wait (and wish, off course...)

one of the reasons why i like a INDI Range or RENKO offline chart generators instead of a EA or Scripts

But did you try the settings you mentionned in the ToolBox (ETB) ?

im sure he will be able to, we all have one GOAL it's to make PIPS, me it's consistent pips, by putting all our brains together we will succeed

I am going to start testing the new ichimoku with the changes suggested to the Stop Loss settings tonight. I see we have some banks closed so may not be the best time to test it this week. Anyway, I will be testing it durring the London Session only. This will also be using the 3/13 sma filter.

The RB_SMA indicators are only on the chart for testing, they do not need to be there as the EA calculates these values itself.

Lets see if we can't get this "Beast" to make some money.

The rules are simple:

EUR/USD
11 pips renko chart, TP=15, SL= 15 “Buy only”. “Every time when renko prints an up bar”


USD/CHF
11 pips renko chart, TP=15, SL= 15 “Buy only”. “Every time when renko prints an up bar”


EUR/CHF
5 pips renko chart, TP=7, No SL “sell only “ “ every time when renko prints an up bar” (yes, up bar)

It seem to be profitable but need finetuning to get the best parameters which i hope an EA can be used to solve these tedious task.

would it be possible to go back to having all the discussions of EA's back in their separate threads? i think it keeps it more clear that way, and its getting confusing as some of the discussions are also developing in the dedicated threads eg the ichimoku cloud burst thread

I simulated the ea work on eurusd today. Very flat session. Anyway these are my hypothetical results:

  1. 5 filtered loosing trades
  2. 2 minor trades missed
  3. 5 loosing positions (-6 pips each=30)
  4. 1 winning (about 20 pips)

I considered the following setting:

  1. ichi3-3-13
  2. open if candle closed outside kumo
  3. reverse position open if candle is a different color when closing last trade(did you put this in new version?)
  4. double sma filter 3-13 (enter if sma13>=sma3)
  5. Hidden s/l at -4 from bid when open
  6. broker s/l following kumo at 0
  7. no outside London

Does ea real trading session look like this?

NOTE:
I studied, with the same ichi settings but different time sma filter the last two months. These are the hypothetical approximated results:

SMA FILTER 2-13

March

  1. 30 majors = 530 pips
  2. 41 minor lost = -246 pips
  3. 12 zero position

April (until today)

  1. 38 majors = 760 pips
  2. 35 minor lost = -210 pips
  3. 10 zero position

OVERALL +834 pips

SMA 2/real time FILTER

March

  1. 44 majors = 880 pips
  2. 71 minor lost = -426 pips
  3. zero position not counted

April (until today)

  1. 44 majors = 800 pips
  2. 50 minor lost = -300 pips
  3. zero position not counted

OVERALL +954 pips
