Prediction is very hard specially about the future, stick to PA ( Price Action ) and learn to read the charts ( Candlesticks, chart Patterns, support resistance all kind, channels and retracements ( fibo and others, etc.....) Trade what you see not what you expect.

Fundamentals are the big picture then you zoom in to the charts and apply technical analysis in the following specific order ( M1 > W1 > D1 > H4 and maybe maybe smaller timeframes to pinpoint your entry and exit.

MM ( Money Management ) is paramount, the most important aspect of trading followed by Discipline to follow your plan and patience to wait like a hunter for you ducks ( setups) to line up.

Try this, it will give you fib levels, set fib period to 350 and you should get similar fib levels as Al.

The instructions:

These are the very basics. Please ask any questions, I'll be glad to help.

First we go to H1 and determine the trend looking at Price Action, stochastics and Heiken Ashi. First of all - Price Action. Second - change in Heiken Ashi color. I usually wait until the first different color HA candle is closed and at this moment I look at the Price Action, HA and stochastics. If both Price Action and 2 HA candles are good size and the stochastics already has been under 20 or above 80 and crossed it and now is above 20 or under 80 - then I consider it a change in the trend.

After that, if you put on the same M15 chart TMA/H1 and TMA/H4 (both with multiplier 3.0) and TMA/M15 (with multiplier 2.0), you'll see the whole picture.

If this picture doesn't undermine the trend that we determined, we go to M1 chart, M5 chart or M15 chart and wait for the right setup.

Let's say, for example, H1 trend is long and we decided to trade M15.

We go to M15 and wait until price is below the lower TMA band. After that we start watching SupDem and Heiken Ashi. We wait until price tested the Demand zone of the SupDem indicator (the blue zone) and starts going up. I usually enter when Heiken Ashi changes the color from red to white, I wait until the first white candle is closed and enter at the beginning of the second candle. But we enter only if the distance between price and the opposite outer band is at least 30 pips (for M15).

And we do the opposite for the short trend (waiting until price is above the upper TMA band, tested the Supply zone (the red zone), enter in the beginning of the second red candle.

SL 25-30 for M15, 15-20 for M5, 10-12 for M1 (but I use locking instead of stop-losses)

I usually set it 12 pips for M1, 20 for M5 and 25 for M15.

TP - the opposite outer band. But if we entered from M1 and we see a good movement, we can go to TMA M5 opposite band or even TMA M15. The same for M5/M15 entry, under some circumstances we can go as long as the opposite TMA H1 band.

It is very important to watch all three timeframes (M1, M5 and M15) because M15 signals are rare. But it is also possible to watch only M1, since M1 is the most profitable timeframe.

MM is the usual: 1 lot for 10K (0.1 for 1K, 0.5 for 5K etc.)

Scott, this picture is from my thread, but it is not my modification, it is what one of the traders tried to make out of my modification. So this picture is a very bad example. My modification contains only 3 indicators and my template doesn't look like a X-mas tree.

And another thing: I don't want to take over Al's thread!

Hi Al & all. Here are my updated charts on the SPX, which of course is usually correlated with the EUR and is usually inverse to the USD. I stuck a Monthly Eur chart at the end too, which I find an interesting chart due to the compression into a very small corner where something will have to give soon (soon in relative terms, remember its a Monthly chart).

Mostly these SPX charts are looking pretty bearish overall to me, but nothing is confirmed which is key. The Monthly is suffering from denial of a TL with Price, Rsi and the Macd and has a Hanging Man Candle on it which would be very bearish if confirmed (will take this whole month). Very concerning also are the MA's on that chart.

The Weekly buy/sell chart is a chart I share with my family and friends who are just Investors. It's been a very reliable guide, but did suffer the first 'fakeout' in 20 years back in August 2011, see the chart where a signal reversed within 2 months. Of course the signals are based on lagging indy's, but that does not take away from how well they have confirmed the change in trend. This chart is no where near its main signal, but momo is starting to shift down.

The other basic weekly TA chart shows the Histo negative, RSI TL break, declining volume and price on support with a Macd bearish signal cross imminent.

Finally the Daily shows a H&S where price is now resting on the Neckline and Daily/Weekly support. The Russell Small Cap index (often leads) has the same H&S but its more level and not slanting up, it is in the same position at NL.

From my analysis this weekend, it is obvious to me that Risk off is totally in play now. The S&P, Euro, Cad, Aud, Chf should all drop. Usd and Jpy should rise and Gbp will drop but not as much as the rest.

I expect 1.2630 to be tested soon on EurUsd. The question is if UsdIndex will breakout to new highs above 82. We´ll have to wait and see.

Well that 82 might be a ways a way for the USD, the biggest thing in the near term for USD bulls is 80 needs to be cleared and the downtrend TL definitely, and after the open we are right there now. The upward TL holding was big from a TA standpoint.

Eur has gapped below support and its Neckline, and the SPX has done the same in the Futures market. So for now, it looks like we have confirmed H&S patterns all around.

80 is gone already. Next stop is 80.35 which is the April 16th high. After that we head to 81.15, March 15th high and then 82.

I do believe we´ll close today´s opening gap in the next couple of days. I would be very surprised if the gap remains open through this week. After closing the gap we should head straight down for the 1.2630 low test.
