This is the weekly chart. To the left you can see the steep rise UJ had in the 90´s to move from 79 to 145. I expect this same move with the same steep inclination (Yellow line) to be repeated. Interestingly, they will begin from exactly the same price.

I always wondered too Al.

I've seen some great Eur$ traders analyse Eurx to predict the Euro.

If this is right no wonder its predictive:

Al, you could open a demo account with Liteforex. They have the quotation of the 8 main index currencies. Each of their symbol is followed by LFX (EURLFX, USDLFX, GBPLFX etc...)

I'm afraid you'll have to do that

There is a tremendous amount of info concerning Fibs, every trader needs this tool in their box, it's time well spent.

Here's what Al is referring to, usdjpy daily...,

Hello To Everyone,

I am not here to interrupt the thread. I promised several members that when I was finished with my trade manager, I would post it here. I do not want to be disrespectful to Alfredo, so if you have any comments or questions, please send me a private message.

Well, I am not sure if it will ever be ‘finished’, but this is the latest version.

I will try to give you a brief description of what it is capable of, and then I will describe how I use it.

First of all, it is designed to scale into positions. You designate the levels. Every 20 pips, 50 pips, 100 pips, etc… You designate the size .01 lots, .10 lots, 1.0 lots, etc… You set the TP and SL. Your SL should be less than your last entry level. If the trade runs straight to your TP, great. If it goes against you initially, scaling allows you to average down your cost. There is a multiplier if you wish to add larger trades as you go (a.k.a. Martingale), but I do not use it and I caution against it.

Steve Hopwood has recently added the ‘Nanningbob’ recovery module. It will manage your trades if you use the recovery method. Nanningbob’s recovery can be highly successful if traded properly. His work is brilliant and should be properly understood before use. I trade too large to use recovery. I use a simple stop loss. Therefore, this portion of the EA has not been tested by me personally. Please try it on a demo account before using it live.

The EA adds a line where you set your SL and TP. You can click and drag these to make changes, similar to the Luktom Visual Order Editor EA. Simply click and drag with your mouse and in a few seconds you will see the TP or SL prices change for your orders and pending orders for that pair.

Now, how do I use it? As an example, I will illustrate with a $10,000 account trading the EURUSD. Let’s assume that I see a trade set up where I would normally trade 1 lot and risk 30 pips SL ($300/3% of account value), with a 30 pip TP. Now I would trade .5 lots with a 30 pip SL/TP and add .5 lots at 10 pip levels. Now let’s play the trade out. If it runs straight to TP, great. I made $150 and was never at much risk. But if it drops 10 pips, it picks up another .5 lots. Now if it hits my TP it makes $350. Greater risk, greater reward. If it drops another 10 pips it picks up another .5 lots. Now if it reaches my TP it makes $600, double what I could have made trading 1 lot with a 30 pip TP. If it reaches the 30 pip SL, all three trades are closed for a $300 loss, the same as I was initially willing to risk.

We all like short term trades that can turn into long term trades with the trend. If I believe the trade may keep going in my favor, I simply click and drag my TP and SL where I feel comfortable and go to bed.

I am still experiencing a few bugs. Steve has worked tirelessly on this and we think they are due to my broker’s platform. A few months ago FXCM rolled out a “proprietary MT4 version” so that they could release MT4 EA’s that will only run on their MT4. This makes an already bad platform (MT4) even worse. We are not experiencing these same problems on other brokers demo accounts.

This EA is free to share. I only ask that if anyone makes improvements, that they please send me a copy with a brief explanation.

Thank you.

William
