Totally true. But, for someone like Venice, who's more at home out on the daily charts, this whole quarter has been a chop-fest.

Tough, tough. Everything looks heavy. Get a Fundamental trigger to marginally front-run the technical trigger? Nope.just doesn't work.

fully agree ken, imo it's more like getting the technical trigger within a sound fundamental projection (hardest one) in mind.
Yesterday @ usdollar-level 9877 could have been one, 9800 might be the next one. Tough it is

There was a NZD dump with an m5 high of 0.81975... price went up to 81972 and got sold a few times, might be good R/R for a short lets see next few mins.

bought top tick on the earlier spike to 60, broke one of my own trading rules, don't jump straight on a breakout without it retracing a little first, but was in the trend direction, so got let off the hook for +5, gave me a couple of hours to contemplate my mistake and my impulsiveness, had the old pound signs in my eyes...

whilst i know a 20 pip dd is nothing to some, we all have different methods, position sizes, etc..

and if there's one thing i really hate it's getting suckered into buying top tick, cuz i know that's how them bastards role..

Yep Archie... all relative really. While I experience draw downs of 5 pips to 100 pips at times... it depends on what chart the play I am making.

A 5 or 15 minute chart, I am not happy if I get more than a 10 pip draw down, and will most likely be hitting stop soon.

Daily or weekly... well, lol... what a beastie...

yep, that's the difficulty, where do you draw the line with giving it breathing space? buying the top or selling the bottom is a biatch tho' and i generally day trade patterns on the m1/m5...

have a look on the daily chart and draw a trendline off the jan 16th and mar 15th lows, then take a look at where today's high (so far) has come in...

so much for the spain downgrade, today's london rally just steamrollered the entire move.. not sure the market reacts any more to negative news out of euro zone, save for the initial knee jerk of course...

Yep. Meanwhile i'll just watch gas prices go higher and higher over here. Our breaking point is above 4.00. At some point in time, they are going to have to let the US$ index breath.... lol
