Right arm is almost complete 200 sma is a point where we shoul finish right arm and possibly go up. The only problem atm is bearish div on M30 but overall I am bullish short/mid term on Aussie

i think the upside was correction and we coming into the sell area against the high confirmation will be the break of the trend line . and that goes for nzd/usd more as it coming into a very strong resistance

asia open seem to push her down then euro back up, usa seemed uncertain but broke in its previous session, i was thinking maybe asia will push down to 340 then might be back up to complete the h&s, the bottom of it seems ok with 2 spikes at 305, if she break 340...maybe to 300 then if she breaks 300 then to 250 maybe

Won't add longs above 1.035 though (Already have enough long positions here). Currently the following are my longs total 0.5 lots.

Earning good swap on this and targeting 1.05 with all of this. Had a few lower AUDUSD longs, but closed it off at 1.04 (wanted to book some profits - itchy finger syndrome).

Hopefully can reach 1.05 before the next RBA rate decision meeting though.

** Yesterday I did EXACTLY the trade I wished I had done the day before long 2 units at 1.0310 and itchy trigger finger was going to leave it but took profit at the first dip at 1.0336

And on a worse not. Identified the GBP/USD as a long early monday morning (look at the 4hr chart it is just slowly bouncing up and was at the bottom of a bounce). Of course I did nothing about it

The bull is gathering more strength and there is not any resistance until 550.If monthly chart closes above this price,it will be good news for the longs.

To each their own. I don't trade for the swaps, but getting positive swap is always better than getting hit by negative swap.

Like what he said, no one is going to give you USD 1300 / year (that's 1300 pips profit for USD 1/pip).

I've been on the other side i.e. shorted AU and the negative swap hurts like hell. I don't even want to hold AU short for long period of time (heck I even try to go out of my way not to short AU).

I'm not trying to convince anyone that this is a profitable way of trading. But one thing I've learn that every little bit counts. If you can get additional money by trading i.e. positive swap, trade rebates, etc.. why not.. isn't the purpose of trading in the first place to make MONEY????

I wouldn't advise actively seeking a passive yield from currency pairs, better off and safer writing calls against a bond etf/divvy etf positions ...although the rollover can have a decent impact on bottom line if often utilizing large positions via Swing/trend/carry trades since the positions sometimes take time to develop/play favorably ... but I would advise all to be aware of the rollover rates on some of the junk/exotic currency pairs since its common for them to have nasty daily debits on one side of the trade

Agreed. Hence the only pair I'm trading (long term positions) is AUDUSD. It's a major currency so most of the issues you mentioned above should be moot.
