Al, another suggestion.... why not add Riddermark's documents to post #1... it would help newer people a lot, and preempt many questions.

I'm kind of stunned because it's freakishly similar to a system I've been working out in demo myself, from the multi-timeframe channels, trendline analysis on my momentum indicator, right down to the waves or "breathing" - 3 moves up or down around the slower moving average, but my channels have been built primarily around trend line channels rather than TMA.

I'm sure this is will save me some refinement effort.

La respuesta a tus preguntas es SI a todas. H1 es mas relajado y permite mas tiempo para analizar los gráficos y leer noticias importantes.

I could do that, but Post 1 is already becoming an Encyclopedia. Besides, FF doesn´t allow me to post such a large file as the Wisdom volumes.

My view is that if you are interested enough to make trading your profession, reading 9000 posts is a very small price to pay for success. I myself have probably read over 1 million pages relating to trading. Hard work is essential to become great at anything.

No. That is not a 1-2-3-Test pattern. I believe the move we just had is the Second Breath of a 1-2-3-Test move on the H1 chart. Each major breath is composed of three small breaths and a test. I have numbered in Large the major breaths and with small numbers the small breaths of each leg.

Firstly I would like to thank you and everyone for their contributions which have helped me become a better trader, I have been lurking for a long time thought I should make my first post.

Al, food for thought, I was looking at your breathing system and thought it matches exactly with the Elliot Wave pattern. It looks like we have just completed a correction A,B and C and now on to the 3 wave which happens to coincide with your 2 breath see chart below. If this is correct the 3rd wave is the longest and most profitable wave not to mention we still have corrective wave 4 and final wave 5 to complete.

Am I on the right path, what are your thoughts?

EurUsd finished yesterday with a pattern that has been very reliable for me over the years. I call it the Italian Boot because of its similarity to the Italian peninsula (In reverse, of course). We had another instance recently as you can see in the upper left of the chart. Usually this pattern is a continuation of the previous move. Notice the similarity in Fast Trix, which turns green and rises, even though price falls. RSI is also in a similar place.

Don´t confuse this pattern with a double bottom, which is a much more vertical test. The Italian boot has a more gradual move towards the toe and the Heiken Ashi candles have little or no tails on the high side of the candles. This pattern is only visible with Heiken Ashi candles.

This pattern also works for longs, but it is much more common in drops.

Does this mean that a retracement of the previous drop is less probable? I took my positions off, waiting for a retracement first, perhaps i should enter when market opens on monday asian open?

Nothing is automatic. I would not count on a retracement, but since the formation happened at the end of the weekend, we may get one. We´ll see.

Hola AL me refiero a estos patrones que se forman en el mercado pero se ven con velas japonesas te muestro unas graficas .Creo que podria ser el equivalente a la bota italiana tu diras si es lo mismo .gracias

Hello Mr. Al
I just want to thank you for all your effort and patience in sharing your years of experience. I have been trading live for 4 years but since you started this thread this is the first time I have the confidence that is required to trade. I have observed and tried different methods shown on FF but felt compelled to join and thank you.
I am up 30% in my live account in 1 month following the system.
As a mother of a disabled girl, I travel 3 hours round trip to hospital everyday, go to work everyday and then find some time to trade which I am very passionate about. I am looking forward to trading full time. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Hi Al, very big THANK YOU for all info that you share with us.
I have drawn a RSI trendline on M15 and it seems that RSI will try it soon and fast trix is red so should bounce off for next drop.

Also I looked at D1 and applied your 200th candle method and Monday's candle should be approximately between 1.3106 and 1.3024. My broker reported that there is option expires on Monday at 1.3100.
Did I understand you correctly about your methods and what are your thoughts?

I definitely don't want to answer for AL here I just noticed that you have put your "i" and "ii" in the wrong place if counting EW.

I'm not sure Al has shared everything that constitutes his 1-2-3 breathing system, and I wonder if there is more than one way he looks for this from what I have seen, but from these posts here (click on arrow in quote to go there) it looks like Elliot Wave is not going to line up directly with his system.
