What people have to realize is that it doesn't matter which system to use they will givenearly all thesame signals. Compare all trendtrading systems in one timeframe and where the entries are. And if all will recognize that it depents on trademanagement trading will be much easier.

The bottom line is that entries aren't as important as we would wish they were.

This system has entries, but symphonie includes exhaustive money management detail and variants. This isn't therefore a serious alternative.

Wow! It always amazes me how much venom is released in these threads.

However, I have been around enough to know that trading isnt just about the method or the strategy. It is more about the perception of the method or strategy. For some, this method may not be suitable, but for others, it just maybe the "ah-ha!" moment that may help them pull the pieces together.

For that, I believe Goldsurfer was brave to start this thread. To put yourself out there to help someone else is always note worthy in my book. I will read any thread that makes creative use of the semafors because I believe it is a challenging yet resourceful tool and someday, somebody is going to "nail it" right on the head, and I want to be there when it happens.

So please continue to post, if you can, Goldsurfer, some of us are really interested in your observation and use of the semafor.

If the semaphore would not repaint, you would see a series of losses. The nature of the semephore is repainting. The best thing you can do is use an MTF semephore.
