Thanks to William, Mike, et al for asking the questions that the rest of us needed to know the answers to, but either were afraid to ask, or didn't know we needed to!

Mike, I believe, needed accurate data that's broker independent. Here's a site that's run by Integral, the institutional data provider, which has free data directly from Integral. It has data feeds in various forms and a platform which also gets it's data directly from Integral. It might be good for comparison.

Just to be clear, if I want my charts to match the Dashboard, do ALL of my ATR's need to be 2.0.

When I say ALL, I mean all 3 running in a single chart. In some of the templates, the current ATR is 2.0 but the higher timeframe ATR's are 3.0. If I want ALL timeframes to match the Dashboard, should they ALL be 2.0.

If so, why do we need Low ATR and High ATR Templates. If all of our Dashboard signals are coming from an ATR multiplier of 2.0, then should not all of our charts be set at ATR 2.0 and using a single template.

If this has been discussed and I missed it, I apologize.

As I said, you have a knack for asking the obvious question that everyone should be asking. I'm guessing that the answer is "Yes, if you want to be that accurate, but the difference in the signals will not make very much difference between H1 set at ATR 2.5 and H4 set at ATR 3.0. There is probably going to be some interpretation involved when you see a signal on a different ATR than 2.0. You may have to bring up the chart with the right ATR settings once you get a signal and see if it's valid on that chart." Of course, I'm just guessing, but Carl did say that the extra complexity necessary to set all the pairs to the correct ATR might not be worth it, didn't he?

Anyway, now that you've broached the subject, could you please send me the list of pairs and the correct template to use? I've been looking for it, and it's not explained in the docs in the .zip file on page 1. I've got it somewhere, but I've got so darned much stuff from this marvelous thread that I'm having a hard time locating it.

It has to do with the ATR range (redundundant?) that each pair moves, I know, but since you can put the Extreme TMA Line indicator for several TF's on the same chart, and each can be set to a different ATR, I'm also asking if I really need the complication.

Here is a screen shoot of my monitor screen and you'll notice that there is a H4 USDCHF sell signal on the dashboard, although it's set to ATR 3.0. When I pull up the chart to take a look, and switch templates, it's obviously a valid signal. This approach might not work so well for scalping, I suppose!

Yes. You can switch your ATR multiplier to match the dashboard. I optimized the multiplier for different pairs to better show the potential moves in each TMA based on past occurrences and to find the right amplitude of each so that lower time frame TMAs stay inside of the channel created in higher time frames. If you leave them all at 2.0 you will have a lot of crossover of lower TMA channels over higher TMA channels which, in my view, diminishes the important concept of MTF TMAs of lower TFs staying inside the channels of longer ones.

There is an easy way to see both ATR multipliers on the same chart. For example, if you want to see both the 2.0 and the 3.0 in H1 momentarily, just change the periodicity of the chart to H1 and the 2.0 channel will show as dashed lines inside the orange lines which are the 3.0 (2.5 on low ATR pairs). The same with H4 or D1. The dashed lines will be the 2.0 and the Magenta lines will be the 3.0 (or 2.5 for low ATR pairs). By doing this, you have the best of both worlds.

If you change everything to 2.0, you will miss most of this very important information. I recommend that you leave it as is for this reason.

Yesterday I described my method of RSI trendlines, however, I failed to mention that on stronger moves, you should also check the H4 RSI trendline. For stronger moves like we have with EurUsd presently, the H4 trendline will give you a more accurate view than H1, which is more sensitive. Below is the H4 chart. As you can see, the RSI trendline is still unbroken and has a lot more room to move before it is in fact broken. I like to check both the H1 and H4 trendlines and in case of discrepancies, I follow the H4, which gives a more birds eye view of the complete price move.

So for medium size moves, follow H1 and for larger moves, follow H4.

In the current EurUsd move, I feel we still have a third leg down coming. See the chart below. As I have mentioned before, most moves are composed of 3 legs. See the move of a month ago and compare it to the current drop. We have now completed the 2nd leg. I expect a 3rd leg that will break the H&S neckline. Notice in both moves the similar location of Fast Trix and RSI. By comparing current moves to previous ones, you can get a pretty good feel for what may still be coming. History repeats itself to an uncanny degree in the market. Many times, even minute details like indi positions are repeated almost exactly.

Comparing both moves you may say: "The current move is already past the H4 band while the previous move was considerably inside the H4 band."

The answer is that the current move will repaint the H4 channel to look like the first move once all is said and done.

Took a buy hedge. Set TP to 130.98.

If I'm at the computer when it looks like the next top is in, I'll add another contract to my longer term short positions.
