Hi Jim, I thought that your HCR, LCS levels were to be taken at Swing Highs & Lows. The first HCR level you have isn't at a SH or am I missing something?

It was a pretty fast dеcision in the morning . I just saw it and liked it . I would share some more analysis if appears to develop as interesting trade
Usually i follow a chart and imagine a scenario days before i took anything .

Thank's Mike and Rust for the response... Does anyone have a good price alarm indicator. I'm currently using BK's but it doesn't have a pop up window and I think the script becomes inactive when you close the platform. Maybe my best bet is the terminal alarm at least for weekly and monthly TF's.

Welcome to the thread

Remember for a pinbar we want a nice long nose or tail to protrude away from previous price and then we want the open and close to be within the prior bar.

Here are some great examples of pinbars, as well as I highly recommend going through all of James16 posts as you start out of course

Yes I would qualify that as a Weekly Swing High and its HCR level. Its it the Highest Highest Close of Resistance of this Weekly consolidation? No, probably not, but I would qualify it as a Swing High and its HCR level .

Hi all!

Can someone tell me if it's okay to use PA on a platform that shows different bars?

Below is a picture of 2 different platforms on the USDJPY daily. CITIFX Pro broker is on top, the MT4 demo account is below.

The pictures were taken minutes from each other, there are noticeable differences on the most recent bar (and a few others). The most recent bar forming on my broker's chart is pin bar-ish and the MT4 account just shows an IB.

The prices are the same it's just the time that each bar forms is different.

I would assume that the basics behind PA work just the same, so does this mean I can use either chart? (more signals given)

I noted that mt4 has an extra Sunday bar but it doesn't account for much of the difference between charts.

This has been discussed alot before, and the only answer many here can give, is find a broker for charting only and stick to it, dont look at any other broker, just do what that chart tells you.

For example, i use FXPRO, and they dont include that small sunday candle which can get in the way, but i dont use them for trading, i use Oanda.
