Just messing around. The CHF according to teb63. I believe he likes to see the setups closer to the big ma's but this is where its at now so ... I take no prisoners ....er responsibility for the out come .

faber is reluctant to short in the money printing business.......

who knows what surprises the central banks have waiting?

if ingmar is right and Oil is up and away in the not too distant future then gold looks attractive at the prices today

i'll dig up some more tomorrow

just looked at the Nikki.........faber is probably right especially in the context of the/a massive intervention of money printing by japan........

downside on the Nikki is Tsunami of last March and eliminate the spike low then that is about 9350

the upside is 10,850 then 11,300 and 12,500 and then over 14,000

spec i have read recently is discussing a possible 40% devaluation of the Yen

the Nikki is trading just over the 200 dma now at 10,000

i looked at it as a catch up play to the S&P back in late jan early feb but did not execute.

same for the DAX.......the DAX can run to 7500 just to get back to where it was relative to the S&P and Dow last summer before the selling occurred

i don't like to bet against the central banks and i think the deal this time around is not so simple as the first rounds of QE

I like your view alwell i wouldnt buy europe rather short europe long us or japan. maybe short eurostox long es something like that. But markets look bit overdone i want myself to short this week the es for correction. I can be wrong but 1440 is what i am looking false breakout up this days then forming medium term top will bring enough divergence overbought etc. If you check stocks above 200 ma almost 80%

last time that happened market did pretty good correction or kinda crashing it was last time. But thats just my oppinion amigo. But like faber stated fighting the central banks aint gonna work so i am not gonna see huge downside on the short rather reload long for a rally later on again. But if you look those charts they look crazy especially nq 13 consective weekly closes higher never seen that lol probally has to do with Apple. Wonder if they bring later on this year facebook to the dow. What it will do with the dow then. lol

yeah historical 3 month charts wanna see kinda quarter charts for currencies.

.....Yeah well i agree with him, that is why I'm short yurow dollar, I think dollar may apriciate soon or maybe not so soon, but will, but I'm short yurow small amounts, my money is in small TF's trades, no holdings......

i like your ideas about arbitrage........i was half stunned today and am just getting the balance back. it happens......too much reading for too few brain cells or something along that line

the girly pix always wake me up..........so, what did you mean by a 3 month chart?......

chonchy gets upset by the FED but the reality is beyond most people not knowing civics or the constitution or who cares kind of mentality then what is left over has pretty much no clue about Cushing or LLS..........TAPIS is something you eat in a restaurant

the historical data for the charts for equity indexes is 10 yrs......the Euro is longer

i don't know if that is what you are looking for but it works for me and i have several accts with other cos and i think it is a nice chart pkg with tools i am still learning

i don't know any co that offers access to trade european equity futures with the flexibility i get from fxcm........gft has it too and i traded fx with detroit.........good co. good service. no bs

the US co i use for futures cannot get me into european equity indexes

I meaned bassicly with a 3 month chart just a normal chart currently the feeds i am usingonly provide normal charts like dailly 3 days weekly monthly etc But i was looking for somewhere to get quarter charts or 3 month charts.

Well the fed and all central banks are eventually destroying everything the last investment boom back in the 1930s leaded to a economic collapse what created the great depression kinda boom and bust cycles. So all the stories everybody tell are true but i think to early imo timing is hard in boom and bust cycles but when it start it goes rapid and agressive. There is a book out currency wars i dont know 1,2,3 the author of it but he describes it verry well i heard from someone. Currently i am reading 1 on monetary regimes and inflation from peter Bernholtz trade vic recomended it in 1 of his videos Victor sperandeo old trader from george soros

I think the first signs will be if someone will just take something simple like a pack of cereals and when you see that the prices started to increase are the first signs and it can go pretty fast i remember argentina back then it take only a couple of weeks the blowup..

i am trying to work out a few different trading styles, ingmar;

one for hit and run

another for what i like to refer to as 'kill zone' shots where i over leverage

and position trades in the mix

the hit and runs can do all right especially for reducing risk and producing nice returns........small or incremental but do they add up quickly

kill zones are trades with a fundamental catalyst like the Security Council vote in favor of a resolution to deploy military force against Libya so load up on OIL or the BOJ announces massive coordinated intervention post tsunami and get long AUD/YEN in size........trading is a cold business

position trade like EUR/CHF looking for a revision to the mean which if one looks at MAs is probably someplace around 1.40 so a bet of $1 dollar risked for a potential return of 3 or 4 or more like 10 or maybe 15 with a floor of 1.20 put in place by the SNB (assuming someone understands risk mgt in context)

trading is a lot of work
