Al, won't 40 to 60% margin use subject you to high risk for a margin call with only an infinitesimal move against you in pips ?

I recall you mentioning something along the lines of, for the 5min scalps, that if a position goes against you -5 pips then you get out at 2 or 3 pips positive. What happens if your position goes against you 20, 40, 60 pips or more ? Won't you get a margin call at that point ?

Do you get out at let say -10 pips to avoid that scenario ? But then again I think you said it's important to not take losses at all in the 5min scalp trading.

How do you deal with that type of situation trading 40 to 60% margin ?

Is a minimum of 20% per month on your entire Forex trading account achievable only with such high use of margin?

Can you use 6% position size and still achieve 20% per month ?

If you have updated mt4 to 418 versions, I have extended files mt4 416 versions, I copy 3 files (terminal.exe, metalang.exe and metaeditor.exe) in a folder with the established terminal. Not so well, from what the broker. All of you have come back to 416 versions! To forbid updating to 418 versions, Find file LiveUpdate.exe and to rename in LiveUpdateOFF.exe, temporarily!

Nevermind, found the answer.

Do want to say though, enjoying the thread so far. Only on page 92 right now and imagine it will be a week before I finally catch up to you all, but looking forward to being able to contribute when the time comes.

Hi carl,
if i well understand, now the conditions for a green buy on the dashboard are: price below the lower TMA band, positive trix divergence, HA color change, TMA slope in a range and rising, and the opposite for a red sell.
is that correct?

Every crossover of that oscillator you have gives great signal also!

To go short with this chart, the TMA Slope does not need to be red...gray is fine. The TMA slope value does not need to be below -.5, .....below .5 is fine.

You maybe right but looking at the same chart, what would have happened if he sold as he is doing now when the same divergence occurred during the previous green bars of the tmaslop??? It is a matter of Risk/Reward !!!

Trading by the rules as listed on page one is not trading out of boredom. The short would be valid if the TMA slope was ranging. If you wait for red "sell only" bars to go short, you will have missed out on many, many pips.

Just an additional comment......Price action trading above the 15 min upper band was caused by a gap up over the weekend. I would pass on this trade for that reason alone.

i have to thank you all for this great thread. i have traded now for a few years since i retired trying to make a few dollars to help get along, seeing as the cup is either filling or emtying never staying the same. i have spent a small fortune trying to learn this game. had my own business and was quite successful. i have blown a few accounts due to being taught the wrong way. the day i came accross this thread was a godsend.i haven't asked questions because everything is described perfectally.In the last 60 trades that i have been in [live] i have had 3 loses which is remarkable as prior to this those figures would be reversed. sorry for ranting on but all you have to do is follow the rules Al has set and every can make it. thanks again Al and Carl and all the other contributers evo.
