i totally agree...i was also short..go a signal but this thing exploded let see if this 4 hour candle will cap it...all major indices up and risk is definitely on

Chonchy..............for what it is worth one of the equity indexes I watch to look for resistance or a a correction or a possible top or turn for the broader markets is the NASDAQ100, and there has been almost zero indication from it that there is a top remotely close...........it hit 2770 today!

when the selloff started last summer I took shorts on that first......I also think the central banks are 'working' the crowd pretty hard and this round of interventions is a lot more coordinated and deeper than the last rounds, Chonchy.

just mho, but i'd be careful shorting the Euro. it has already cleared the 1.33 level and 1.34 is the next sig R.

the way i look at this market is there is really only 1 fundamental and 1 technical that matters; the central banks.

the key to all of this is the yields on Spainish and Italian bonds........if the yields explode upward then it is all over and the rush for the exits will be like someone yelling 'fire' in a crowded theatre but i don't think the central banks are about to let that happen.

this market (currencies, equities, commodities, interest rate/treasuries etc) is too orchestrated.

i hope you make a ton of money trading short and i am dying to short also but i think the risk is trying to short against entites that are in control and can print money.......a lot of money........there is probably no end to the money printing at this point.

Roro53 - yep, enjoyed what you have written, what more can I say? Erm, well, that I, too, come from a working/lower middle class family – if we are to place ourselves in social strata. However, much like Chonchy, and I suppose others that frequent this thread, I am rich in that my friends and family share a common value shift that does not strive to remove itself from what is acceptable.

There are two exceptions to the aforementioned value shift; the horse, and that bloody cat - which seems only to hang around because of the free food and lodgings showered upon him everyday. I should have befriended a dog…

I also totally agree about the obscene wealth of some.

.........Defenetly, nothing wrong with having a few billions myself, it will be great, some day, some day.......... a dog will be nice some day too......but I defenetly will love to come back as a cat in the reencarnation, a french country side farm, with horses to run after, food and shelter, what ealse.........and 007 as my master........

As negative as I am about, erm, pretty much everything related to big money, I have to agree that each time I think we may be reaching the tipping point, it jumps. As pointed out by roro53, only CBs have this power, and also as mentioned, if equities tank, so does everything... and that cannot be allowed to happen.

I wrote a few posts a year or so ago regarding stagflation and debt exponentials... it may be time to revisit these.

Everybody is in recession, but power is desperately trying to avoid a return to the 1930, or the Weimar bite... perhaps for no other reason than fear that this time, with better-educated and connected populations, their survival may not be so secure. I feel that a concerted effort to deny inflation, whilst allowing it to reduce debt, is most certainly underway.

If we survive asteroid strikes at the end of the year, or mutual nuclear destruction, or whatever else the Mayans may have predicted, we should expect to see a severe depression around 2016 - according to Elliot Wave analysis by some rather studious analysts.

On a final note, I am happy to report that I sectioned off a portion of my garden and had the farmer use his tractor to drop me over the barbed-wire fence a few ton of soil. This has since been prepared and sown, and with the break to sunshine the last few days, I have green shoots appearing. Hopefully I am not getting excited over grass… although if need be, this must surely be able to be boiled into a soup.

........that is tulum mexico there on the pic, they have very nice beaches there, scaret, playa del carmen, isla mujeres, holbox......but I think roathan in honduras is my favorite..........

The horse and cat seem not to notice each other, but can sometimes be seen together in the field. I'm telling you, that cat thinks he's made of tungsten, or something. He won't think that the day the horse gets annoyed with him. Oh, and you are more than welcome to visit as a cat, but bear in mind that he gets thrown out each night, and we have winter weeks that hit the minus double digits.

ouch ouch my ribs are hurting

I live a bit further south, closer to the american border (don't know if thats a good thing or not LOL). It is a beautifull mountain valley with a very hot summer climate, lakes of azure and grapes on the vine. The locals are jolly and friendly (I think it has something to do with the grapes). As for aliens, well there was a fascinating crop circle that appeared a year ago in a field just a few miles north of us. We called it the alien tourist board seal of approval (again may have had something to do with the grapes).

P.S. Brain is fine (may have something to do with the grapes). Body needs work (grapes may help) .
