Al, I thought you were not using stop losses but using small lots with no stop losses and using recovery after negative 100 pips? Thanks.

Why dont you open up a trade explorer here and show the world how you make those returns.
Hi Bluesteele, just as a reference point and not to promote argument most recently I had a trading campaign where my extreme focus was on making 1% per day capturing 1-5 pips at a time and not using stop losses. Admittedly, I was very aggressive in compounding and keeping my profits in play. Most days I was able to achieve 3-5%. I did this for 10 straight months before my business required too much attention and I was just plain worn out. My real account was up 7X when I stopped.

I'm very encouraged, based upon my own experience, that the H1 and H4 elements of Al's strategy will work for me. I'm also programming the indicators into my own simulator for my own historical testing. When you write your own simulator and indicators you can control repainting issues as well as experiment with recovery concepts which is a large part of how I choose to trade. Just my 2 cents and experience. Lynn

very interesting, helps add to the confluences of the bands being respected, I have been looking at price patterns form and on the mtf tma and trying to see fakeouts at the top or bottom and continuations from the top or bottom.

ie a bullflag off the bottom of the 4hr up looking to have strong continuation to the upper band.

eventually you start to see things you cant unsee and you have developed an eye no doubt

I made this so I could use the MTF TMA Analysis in the backtester but the reason I had to rewrite the codebase is that the exist TMA line code you have uses a bunch of iCustom self references to do the Higher TF draws. This could very easily be the source of the performance issues. I have no easy way to directly profile indicators but you could always just give it a try and see if the issues are fixed.

This is the same functionally as the TMA Centerline that you currently use. It just works on strategy tester and is hopefully alot faster. It should be a direct replace but now if you want to not show the centerline there is a boolean property instead of having to change around the buffer colors.

I use an emergency stop loss at -100 pips. Why do you think I use a stop loss from what I posted? Because of the breakeven stop? I donīt understand your question.

Lynn, I donīt understand why he is so surprised about a 5% daily return. I know 2 traders personally who do 15% and 20% per day. A week ago I demonstrated real time how you can do it. I posted the trades several times during the day. I ended the day with 32 winners, one BE and 0 losses and a 12.8% return. You can see this if you look at the posts of a week ago. It is exhausting, but with knowledge and self control it is not impossible.

Do not want to get into a discussion about it, I just want to work with the thread and if you consider it appropriate, I can gladly review the code and tell you how you can correct. As AL knows, I'm a Systems Engineer and have worked in software development for over 20 years, especially in systems for financial institutions, which allowed me to gain some experience. Now I take 3 years developing MT4 EAs and I think I learned something.

I believe that their collaboration in this thread has been fabulous and thank you for their developments. Please consider me as someone to help plan and do not plan to attack their excellent work.

So what should I do with the indi you just posted. Should I substitute it for the M15 TMA and eliminate the center line? The reason for not showing the center line is obvious. With 3 TMAs on the screen and the importance that I want to start giving to the Coral. It becomes color spaghetti and very difficult to distinguish between center line and Coral. I opted for taking it out in the interest of clarity.

Please Explain the following:

Applying the template high or low in H1, the H1 channel appears twice, I understand that it's by the ATR Multiplier in TMA v1.4 Color Center Line indicators, but how I know what TMA channel is the correct? The Orange?

Itīs not really developing an eye. The Breathing system actually lets me know when the patterns are due to occur in all time frames. It is an in depth study of the natural cycles of the market. It is similar in concept to what an electrocardiogram shows to a cardiologist. Actually I got the original idea for it from a cardiologist friend who explained to me the systolic and diastolic impulses of the heart over an electrocardiogram. It took me 20 years to develop it.

Al, When I make 5% or less in a day, I classify it as a below average day. For example, yesterday I was up more than 12%, today I am up more than 10% just scalping the 5 minute charts. That goes to show you just how much those dumbos really know about the market and yet they go through every forum posting such ridiculous comments with such unfounded authority.
