For your example. You took the time to graduation is 20 days. Then the period for calculating the MurreyMath is 8x20 = 160 days. And then stretch or shrink the graph for the square divisions.
Why I take 256 days during the calculation. 256 = 2 to the power 8. The graduations are 128, 64, 32, 16, 8, 4, 2, 1, half and quarter day. Each such period is the time of fractals have been talked about in the article.

For each period I to draw a square on Gann. For example, 32 and 16 days.

This chart is for 12 and 6 hours. The last and smallest division, which I use. While the price is in that price range works this scale of price over time.

Thanks for the pointers. from all the examples that I've read from Gann, these fans have always been utilized on D1 timeframe and larger. It makes sense to square the price with bar count since each signifies a complete day/week/month/year. How would one best apply this to a shorter time frame, or does it lose significance? Would you still square price (or a factor of price) with simply bar count?

Even just a few words. MurreyMath care about the relationship between the price scale. Find the latest chart division is 1.3184. The same it has the previous chart, right? But this division it is also of the weekly chart of the analysis.

I think I understand what you're saying, the level of 1.3184 is currently the 4/8 line for H1 range but if we take a step back and calculate for W1 range the level becomes the 2/8 line. Is this correct?

I'm playing with the indicator that was on the tutorial you provided. There is a default parameter of P=64 for the indicator, while this plots the same 4/8 line as your charts, the 1/8 divisions are further apart than yours. By changing the value to 32 the values line up with your H1 chart. What exactly is this parameter?

Yes you can do just that, you can sq the hi lo range, sq a fixed range, sq a bar if you like. MYSELF i find very effective is take any 9 bars from any place, preferably a hi or lo. draw a cpl horizontal lines on hi and lo, fix a cycle line indicator set to 9 bars. THAT is yuour square then draw the lines in up and down 1x1 1x2 1x4 1x8 1x11 1x16 and maybe you will need further divisions if the range that them 9 bars squared is very small, perhaps additional 1x32 1x64 etc. good for any timeframe same construct. Doesnt matter price will find res/sup on them accordingly to their intentions of the market, then i just keep them lines and highlight them ctrl left click<mouse> will duplicate the line and place it where u like. The angles will remain accurate for a great while and when no longer accurate make a new sq same way. simple simon everything done in about 40 seconds maybe a minute nothing to think about. But thats me. Play around GL

I use another version. In it I set up the period of calculation. For example, put on a daily chart 256 days (bar). It is important to understand fractals. They are obtained by dividing the two. Previous large square divide it into two price and of two at the time. MurreyMath care division for the price. Let us take care of the division at the time. In this way I have graphics that look the same for a period from 6 hours to 8 years. And I can analyze them in the same way. This is the graph for 8 and 4 years.

Congratulations for this question. It is right in the ten. Orion replied to what his understanding. Here's my opinion. We must not allow to have a break in time. Otherwise, the angles will be distorted. Therefore should work only those TF, in which has no break. This depends on the broker - supplier quotations. For example, when my broker just last Friday H4 bar is only three hours. After missing one hour on Friday and one hour on Sunday. I am committed to working fans of Gann only on charts larger than H4. In fact, using only the angles of the daily chart. H4 chart use the scale of the daily chart divided by 6 (24/4 = 6). But this way I have already explained. After a while, how I will move the the angles on smaller TF.

First I calculate the levels of the angles of fan.

Hey guys,

Im reading this thread all day, but still dont understand how to apply those principles...
I was very actively practicing astrology for the last few years, so this combination of forex, sacred geometry and astrology sound very intriguing.

You probably have better things to do then to explain basics to novice traders but maybe someone will take some time to direct me to some reading material.
Cause Im googling and cant find a place where to start...

I dont even know how to plot the Gann fan in MT4, or which tools to use for the square of nine. Have you modified the fib fan/extensions in some way? Are there any indy's?

awesome, I'm glad that I'm on the right train of thought! to me, D1 and higher are the only TF's that make sense to "square time and price". Perhaps this is what led Gann to seek more universal concepts of time like planetary motion.

so far it is the best free source of Gann's work I can find, as well as interpretation of Gann's work by other individuals. I find it so valuable that I've archived every file onto another hard drive just in case I ever loose access to this site.
