Dax loosing grip at the highs ( very strong Q/monthly/weekly/daily R) before German data. Euro h4 about to open 1.295x for the week with intermediate target at 1.304x (lots of noise from 1.308x a and down). 1.312x momentum line to the short side ...to the long side nothing yet but we have FOMC later....

You may be mixing up FA issues. Let me give you my opinion as general framework when trying to "understand" FA ("understand" 'cause nobody really have it all "right" all the time)

IMO, you need to differentiate between, long, mid and short term macro factor. You can't evaluate long term factor in a short term charts, neither you can see short term factor in a long term chart. I am not going into macroeconomic details but in general for example in the eur/usd.
