You could also use the ASI to simulate price cross...ASI is a smoothed price line with a heavy emphasis on close price, so as to eliminate some volatility from the line. Its generally used to filter false breakouts.

Not meaning to change the system, but it makes for a pretty darn decent lower indicator.

Very interesting.
What does ASI stands for?

It works very nice with TMA for entries. Filters lots of bad signals.

Hello! First of all I am spanish, sorry for my bad english. I tested the system on my computer and I really like. The other day I saw that there was a version of MT4 for mobile (iphone I have). However, can I add custom indicators? Anyone know if we can use the "Extreme TMA System in the mobile". Goodbye!

I have a real worry that this thread is going to die like a lot of others. My reasoning is that Al kindly introduced and taught us a new system, fairly simplistic in its operation and now all of a sudden lots of other indicators are being suggested/introduced which in my view will only complicate things.

It's Al's thread and we should let him be the judge of what's needed.

i'm not yet 100% comfortable on this system especially because some indicators are repaint but I really like the tma indicator.

And still had to do my home work studying the heiken ashi. This is my first time using it after reading Al's posts about heiken, it seems interesting. I deleted heiken ashi on almost every indicator that comes with it lol as you can see on my prev post http://www.forexfactory.com/showthre...08#post5468408

demo (currently)
-22 g/j still open (sell)
-12 eurgbp still open (buy)

i traded this live only when i see double top/bottom or divergence.

hmm.. on my chart (1 min just for a more detailed view) it is still in the middle between R2 and R3, see pic.
Would be always good to post your screenshot. A picture says more than 1000 words.

It's not a particularly great setup worthy of a pic, just an aggressive trade on a pair that I favor. Was looking at the 15 Minute Chart and interested in the R/R potential with the Resistance nearby.

Hello Handy,

I appreciate your comments, however I feel it is a positive thing to have the members brainstorm about how they think the system can be improved. Of course, in the end I will decide what goes into the rules of the system, but 100 brains will do much better than one. So keep it coming. I evaluate everything suggested that appears to have merit.

I completely agree. It's been a few days since I looked at this thread and I've just sat down this morning to catch up with everything. I'm quite dismayed, but not surprised, to see all these extra indicators and techniques being thrown around. It seems to be the way every thread goes: instead of traders spending the time and effort to learn the system inside out, they have a few losses and start blaming the system and looking for things to 'filter out' their bad trades. I know, because I've done it myself! Believe me, it doesn't work and is a stupid, futile exercise.

Al has presented a wonderful system here, which, if learned and practiced over several months and followed properly, will result in profits. Why not stand on the shoulders of someone who has already done the hard work and paid the price?

PB
