MB Trading Futures - Introduction

3 1/2 hours and 46 pips later, I can finally trade. Glad it was only the demo, or my blood pressure might have gone off the charts.

No issues on Live. Demo is sometimes late coming up. They worry about the real money first.
Thanks. What time (ET) were you able to trade live? When I trade live, I never get to play the weekend gap. Haven't traded live in a while. Have they allowed Sunday trading beginning around 5:00 ET yet?

I have serious issues using an Iphone app, MBT Mobile: for quite a while no updates fixed this for me. I am able to view and navigate around the app, but I cannot edit/cancel live orders. When I try to click on them, the window that is apparently supposed to pop up with option dialog is off the screen (I can see the corner of it when I navigate around the app). Rarely I was able to edit/cancel.

Thanks for any input.

Have been trying to contact MB Trading but unsuccessful. Chat room automatically changed to "leave a msg" and no email or anything given (the comment box does not allow attachment).

I have noticed some very strange move on MB Trading and would appreciate if MB Trading can explain why such extreme moves only present in MBT but not on other brokers. Details are attached.

My guess is bad ticks at rollover. You won't get filled on these bad ticks as order server is offline. Search forum, it's all here. As for spread, some times it's better, some times it's worse...at least it doesn't blow out to 10+ on news...fact is, you get what you get, nobody is perfect, MBT included. Try them all, pick the best...Done.

I've always been able to trade within 5 minutes or so of that time.

We are in the process of finalizing the testing for the Spot Gold and Silver through our UK division, and will inform all clients when it is available. I can't provide you with an ETA, but the wait shouldn't be much longer.

It's me only, or MBT has again the datafeed problems,
very strange spikes (both ticks & minute datas) till 1.3000 EU, this morning and now about 16:12 (GMT)

No I am seeing them on my chart too. The other broker I use does not have these spikes. I don't know what is going on over at MB Trading but this is ludicrous. No point in having any stops because the spike will kill you.

Not just you; had the same thing myself. Unfortunately I had a trailing stop that executed on one of the spikes...not happy about it.

Have you contacted MBT? It is obviously an erroneous print (I too checked other data providers and determined it to be erroneous) and those who take the effort to contact them will likely be returned whole, whereas those that only post on the boards won't be.

Remember--MBT is basically at the mercy of their LP's. A bad print by an LP is transmitted through the MBT system. And given traders' desire for 'unaltered/unfiltered' data, it is up to MBT whether to filter these bad prints and lose that 'unfiltered' claim or pass them through and...
I didn't for the reasons you indicated. The damage was minimal as it only cost me a couple of pips. The only reason I was annoyed is because my physical connection has been somewhat buggy as of late, so I've become more dependent on their stop products in such a volatile environment. The erroneous execution just didn't inspire a lot of confidence.

That said, I think you're right in that if the consequences were of significance, they would make the effort to make the trade whole. Guess shit happens.

The spikes you're referring to occur occasionally during rollover, while we settle end of day with our banking partners and would not trigger or execute any trades.

Spikes during rollover don't trigger trades. Could you please send me your account number and trade number in private so we can take a closer look?

In this case, this was not a rollover spike. At 11:11-11:12EST, MBT EURUSD spiked down to 1.30000 whereas all my other feeds only show a low of ~1.30300.

See Screenshots and NOTE: Reloading new MBT EURUSD chart on separate computer does not show spike...yikes!!!

That is completely false. The spikes did not occur during rollover. My screenshot was from a 5min chart (local time is Australia). The first spike was during the middle of the Tokyo session and the second spike was in the middle of the New York session. Neither of those times are rollover times, are they?

Yup same here on my computer. Looks like they have retroactively cleaned out any evidence so obviously they must know the timestamps of the spike events. And yet Justin here is telling us that it happened during rollover...
