Then you are pretty much in the most flexible position to choose a broker, not too dependant on low trading costs and fast execution speed, nor too dependant on swap rates
The timezone setting of Pepperstone was GMT + 2 during NY winter.
Does anyone know if Pepperstone move forward an hour this week end so that they are now GMT+3?
That way they would still have the NY close that I am after and the 4 hour and daily bars would still be accurate.

Yes they are moving to GMT+3 this weekend, here is the email I got about the change.
Dear Trader,
On Monday the 12th March 2012, the Pepperstone MT4 Server time will move one hour forward to GMT +3 hours.
Pepperstone bases MT4 Server time on "5pm New York", the internationally recognised end-of-day in the forex markets. The US will be changing to Daylight Saving Time on the 11th March 2012. With the US turning clocks one hour forward the Pepperstone MT4 Server Time will also move one hour forward. How does this affect me?
The only noticeable change that you will experience is that the Market Watch time in MT4 will now be set at GMT+3. This might not affect your trading at all - however, depending on your timezone, this may cause the market to open one hour earlier on Monday. The MT4 server time will still open at 0:00 on the charts, this may just be an hour earlier for your time-zone. GMT Offset
If you are using an EA with a GMT offset time, then you must change the GMT offset to +3 just prior to the 12th of March. OLD SERVER TIME Server Time GMT +2 Hours GMT Offset +2 NEW SERVER TIME - 12th March Server Time GMT +3 Hours GMT Offset +3

If client base continues to grow, let's hope server upgrades and other related issues receive appropriate consideration so to avoid recent issues being repeated.

Execution speed is very good, however will depend on where you are in the world. for me here in the UK i'm getting my market orders filled in about 300 ms, faster than pretty much all other brokers i've tried live.

Yes, I do ... and that includes the news trading like NFP. I had few issues in recent months with some disconnections, but fortunately they didn't affect any of my trades at a time (just a bit of unnecessary sweating for a second or two) anyway, I hope that this latest upgrade of servers will resolve this problem for good and Pepperston will continue modifying its hardware more frequently and appropriately with a growing demand and customers base.

Yes I do in using the razzor account. Over the 7 months I must say that the recent upgrade is rock solid and any delay (less then a second) in fills I attribute to my adsl provider (Australian stone age technology at premium rip off price) and the long distance from Australia to NY.
I really hope that it stays like that as I could not ask for more.

This is a test page to "edge-live.pepperstone.com" from Adelaide (Australia) ... I reckon that's a not too bad connection for manual trading, however I'm also running the 'EA' to trade for me, but it's on VPS through Commercial Network Services (CNS) Data Center in New York (Southern Manhattan) from which the execution speed is much faster (on average 10-15 ms)

Thanks. Seems we have approx. the same latency. I am a manual scalper, trading 5 & 15 min. timeframe. Guess I would be fine ...

Mine updated fine, no problems at all. So no your problem isn't normal. Mt4 can usually login even with an older version of mt4, so I'm not sure why you can't login

that would probably be about right for Asia. From the UK i get a ping of 110 ms
