Hi Al,
this is my report on the dash. I had 12 trades yesterday, all positive ones . All of the trades were on 5MTF and since it was ranging at the time I enter some of the trades, I went the 15 MTF direction. In some trades, I had some draw down. However, price did quickly turn back in my direction. I only traded the EuroUSD. I had a blast. All these positive trades, really bust your confidence. Even if it is only demo trading..

I am not really following everything you say. I would think of it in terms of calls and you need three for each symbol/timeframe (TMA(0),TMA(1) and ATR). The MTF Tma could be slow but the ATR is built in iATR call so should be fast.

The part that is confusing me is 100 bars ATR is necessary to compute the bands so I don't see how you aren't already doing that calculation before normalization since the indicator seems to work and knows where the bands are.

Also you should offset that atr 10 bars back since all the other indicators do this. I don't know why really but the original TMA indicator was always this way.

Great stuff mate. What kind of drawdown were you allowing? I had a little go on the 5min yesterday but got caught out a couple of times and didn't really know what kind of drawdown to allow before cutting.

Had a great day on 15min timeframe today though. All winners. :nerd:

The maximum drawdown was 11 pips.
I went with the rules.
Dashboard Signal.
Check 15 MTF for direction if 5 MTF ranging.
Candle change of color or flashing.

My own rule. CCI and Trix slope on my direction.

I did not place any SL.

You've got my simpathy...I know exactly what you are talking about..... you are trying your best and it feels like everyone is making pips except you!

I think we have to learn a lot still .... and maybe page 1 entry method does not explain it simple enough for the newbies. We need a lot of practise and many more days nose to the screen to be able to grasp the system.

Maybe someone will put up more screenshots of winning trades.... (and very important)... a good description of the 'road' that lead up to the actual entry point of that trade... because thats where most newbies, like me, have a weeee problem still.

Don't get dispondent, we're gonna make it soon..... ! This system is great, and we will all once we get to know it better.

Thanks for your interest. Here is a fixed indicator as well as some documentation and some of my opinions from testing out the rules.


Some of the display options and periods used in this indicator are configurable and hopefully self explanatory.


TMA Size = This is the distance in pips from Upper band to lower band. This seems to be the unit of volatility that people use on this forum.
Extreme TMA = Current price in relation to the TMA. -1 = Lower band, 0 = MidLine, 1 = UpperLine. And everything in between and beyond.
TMA Slope = Slope of the Tma line.
Slope Change = The Change of the Slope. Whether it is steepening or leveling.
Price Change = Linear regression of price. This is something I have in there to play around with the same concept as the arrows that used to be on slope. Helps to spot when price is moving opposite of Slope Change. This was a referred to as divergence here but is not in anyway related to divergence as it is use in trading. Hopefully true divergence can be introduced into the system again since it is a nice way to go counter trend. The current rules do not allow for any counter trend trading.
Pivot Distance = Distance to the nearest Pivot point. (Please don't ask me about this. It works for me on my broker. It can certainly be off by a few pips but this is related to the brokers High,Low,Close prices from the previous day. Not any time offsets) Daylight savings is this weekend here so who knows what that is going to do to our trying to all get on the same page.
MA Crossover = This is the original MA crossover used as confirmation in the direction of the trade. It is not a MACD but the crossover of a single moving averge displaced in time. This is set the same as the defaults in packet do not change the 1 value in shift unless you know what you are doing.
Heiken Ashi = The heiken ashi body size and direction. Or basically a crossover of a typical price (OHLC/4) over a moving average of that price.

I word of caution about the colors. The general jist of the rules on this forum have so far been about fading extreme movements after confirmation and the coloring generally follows this theory. I would say that if this system where a software project the rules are still in prototype stage therefore so are colors in this indicator. Also alot of the successes with these rules have come from people using them in multiple time frames which is not encapsulated in this indicator at all.

Here is one example where I feel price action is saying a very differant thing than these rules. You have consolidation (even trendline) then break higher through pivot and then a slight pullback below the pivot and HA candle down. The pullback is weak though so price is still above the upper band because previous breakout was large. Here you will have 5 colors with the exception of MA Cross all extreme RED but the price action is a nice volatility breakout with a weak pullback giving you a nice buy price.

One way you could use the colors that I have not yet played around with is you could change the Bear and Bull colors both to Red and the Extreme colors both to green. Then basically you use them as a red light green light of when to trade but you use your own interpretation of price action to decide how to trade.

I will try show you 1 off mine trades today.
I will try explain why I took it.
Hope it can help a bit( If I understand this strategy correct)

Look at this AUDUSD 15M chart. I have marked a High-Low-Lower High. And also look at the slope indi all red, that tells me togehter with H-L-LH: a downtrend.Look on M15 the pullback went to Centerline, and also tested my dayli open line.

Then look at the AUSUSD 5Mins chart. You can see the same H-L-LH. on the pullback price went ouside the high bands. TMA slope was grey, but below zero. Downtrend. So when got the red closed below white line I pulled the trigger.
The trade ias still open, but if price dont make a new lower Low very soon I close the trade.

I hope some off this make any sense to you. If not sorry for taking your time.

Sorry if this is a dumb question but why is this any different than just buying 1 lot at the bottom band or selling 1 lot at the upper band? If anything that would be better than opening two positions because you will instantly have twice the spread drawdown? What am I missing?

Another good trading day for me: +180 pips
I traded mostly the M15 (+120 pips) and a few M5 trades (+60 pips).

All the credit is due to Al who introduced this awesome system to us.

PS:
Forgot to mention that these +180 pips equal +12% growth in my live account!

Hi, those are 10-pip renko bars, with Al's THV4 HA applied on them.

The indicator at the bottom is the THV4 Trix, it helps me to spot divergences.
