I have gone short EURUSD.
Opened a bit late after new candle after unexpected news. Moved +30, closed 50% of trade and moved SL to BE+3. Due to the size of the candle expecting a big movement down.
In anycase, SL set so already in profit.

NFP is one of the top news that can drive the market. This is no surprise at all.
It's really amazing to think about what Xman said a few days ago. I recalled he said that he believed that most of the time big guys release news in the way that correspond to the technical - that's why he's a pure chartist. Thinking about today, I begin to believe in this.
Why? At least since I started learning forex half a year ago, good news (no matter from the US or not) --> EU up. Bad news --> EU down. And the news websites usually reported something like "bad news led investors to seek for safer currency like USD". Well, if you learn basics from Babypip, for example, a very broad concept is that a currency would be stronger if its economy seems to be better. You can see that this concept is opposite to what I observed in half a year, only until today that I see it supports the concept.
Get back to an example. Please see my H4 trade on EU. Very perfect setup. TDI broke the blue band, the green crossed down the red line. I got a nice 100 pip after waiting a few hours. I traded GU too and it wasn't this great so I chickened out. Had I set a similar TP, it would've given me more pips!

but i see the price still going down. any seniors here know why? i thought at friday the price rarely move this much ?

.so in case news like this happen. it can move price like 75 pips (from NYO). crazy. haha. i closed my order at +50 because it seems that the price kinda stuck near 1.3150 . but it proves me wrong ...
Well, I forgot to mention a (semi)-divergence too (TDI tops were roughly the same but the price tops were very different). Anyhow, I think it's a general rule that most of the time, technical clues for higher TF are to be more respected than lower TF. That's why I kind of felt more confident with this. With that said, 4H is good for me also because I have a full-time job and just can't stare for price action on H1 at LO and NYO all the time (got it wrong several times in the past couple weeks).
