I think I shouldn't have been so smug this morning.... should have jumped back on the elephants back! Aud/usd dropped 98 pips from my entry! When I grow up...I'm gonna be just like Robby and HH!

XStorm....sorry, but if I see that name, for some reason you make me think about KMart, lol.

I was training a new student the past hrs., so could not do everything at the same time.

My vision is that trading should be like riding your bike or driving your car.
If you have not reached that level YET, stay away from live trading.

There are far too many complicated setups on the forums, basically trading is SOOOO easy.
You learned to walk, ride your bike, drive your car, so you should be capable of learning how to trade.

I am ONLY interested in finding the good entry, the rest is for my "secretary" to handle.

I don't need any SL, I am an engineer, know what I am capable of, and in forex also know how to handle anything.

As for HA candles, much too slow for me, I am out with profit before that shows me to even get in.
Don't swim with the sharks any longer than needed.

Forex is not a game for me, it is a business with real income.

Hope this gives you an idea, buddy.

More newbie news....

So, the aud/usd dropped about 140 pips from my entrance.... Got out on the first retracement but didnt jump back in on the Lower High.

So the lesson here today was...let your winners run!

An interesting picture about trend vs ranging markets. Use a few indicators to determine trend vs ranging markets.
The bottom window long term bbmacd lets me know that the trend has not reversed yet, and we are in a ranging period. The macd complete and stochastics are pointed up but the bbmacd is still pointed down.
The range is about 50 pips wide so we can scalp that range on a lower time frame

Freddy on HA candles, for the 1 minute, I use an ma cross for entries, HA candles on a longer time frame for direction...works very well for me. I believe I mentioned that in the thread, that price crossing that MA gets me in the trade, the HA's usually follow on the 1 min

Let me make this very clear for everyone, I never wait on the 1 min for a candle to open or close,,,I trade when price crosses the line.

If everyone has read the thread up to this point, I have posted some interesting examples of how to trade HA candles.

It is a very simple approach from the 5 minute time frame up. draw a line enter the trade when price crosses that line, with a few indicators for direction, or confirmation and you can bank many pips.

All you have to do to see this is put some HA candles on a chart with a line chart a different color, and watch for a period of time and you get the visual of the swings. Then you can develop a trading method to trade those swings using indicators of your choice.

1 min time frame takes a bit more practice. I will always entertain other peoples ideas about trading.

Waiting to short the aud usd 1 min. Will take swings on the 1 min TF untill momo picks up and then do HH's bottom up system to keep me in trade.

Fingers crossed. Trying to evolve from a "flea" to a succubus.

PS: Wanted to share why I chose the 1 min today instead of the 5 min..

The 5 min chart is hideous! No trading opportunities as of yet (IMHO)

Since I will be on the 1 min today (it seems), I will have to concentrate on that TF so, no more postings until my trading day is done!

Okay... this is it for me today. Had to sweat for my pips today! A couple of false starts on the 5m (choppy, choppy). Missed the 61.8 bounce but finally got in for the bounce off the 50.0 for 41 pips. Since I entered in late...I kept all 3 lots on the table.

The ultimate 1 min trading setup. If you want 5 minute adjust the mtf HA to 15 min or higher.

I have not seen you mention any indicators that you use for trading the 1 min time frame....I dont use it any more either...LOL

By the way, what do you use for entry criteria on the 1 min time frame, you have not mentioned that either, you just jump in the room and say how easy it is to trade, but never talk about your trading setup. Either put up or shut up

Freddyfx is correct in one of the things he says, trading is soooo easy when you get the concept. If you dont have anything positive to say about trading, then keep it to yourself. This room is about sharing positive things about trading the rest is left out.
