I would forget longs on any Euro pair for now. You may get lucky and make a few pips, but the risk is not worth it. Believe me, I know... I use to counter trade and lost a ton of money in my first 8 years during the 8oīs.

I donīt countertrade anymore. Itīs foolish and unnecessary. There are plenty of pips to be made with ranging pairs or with the trend.

Would you recommend 15 pips as a tight stop loss on the 1min? Do you also trade the 1min without a stop loss?
BIG THANKS... as far as I am concerned you are a god sent. I was on the verge of giving up trading for good before I had the fortune to bump in your thread and was able to follow it from the beginning. It is very difficult to get the feel of and properly understand "mature" threads from the latest posts in them (like jumping at the deep end of a pool in your first swimming lesson). Thanks again.

As you know I have two shorts going on UsdJpy and GbpJpy. Normally Iīd be watching them like a hawk to try to detect a point of exit. Now with the TMA Slope indi I am much more relaxed. I just wait for the indi to show me a rising bar before I worry about exit.

It is an invaluable indicator in my opinion. Granted we have only been using it for a whopping 2 days !! and something can develop that we havenīt seen yet, but as of now, it is a delight to trade with it.

Al I am using Tma Slope v1.2 is this the latest version? and My slope changes to white either above 1.0 or below -1.0. Is this the way it should be or is it supposed change to white above .5 or below -.5 because that is those points at which we are to only look for longs only or shorts only (respectively). I hope this question makes sense. If it should change colors at a differnt point can you tell me how to adjust the indicator

Thank you for being with us. I wouldnīt measure the stop by an arbitrary number of pips. I would place the stops above the previous high for shorts and below the previous low for shortsNo, I donīt use stops on M1 either. I use exactly the same steps as on M15. If a trade gets into trouble, Iīll take a loss or use Recovery by changing that position to a longer TF like M15 and managing it from there.

Al, Yes I saw the divergence. I use TDI indicator, something similar to RSI. I think I have your indi too. Is it THV4 Trix called?
Hope this is the EU reversal that I've been waiting for. Let's see what happens tomorrow.

Yes. You are right. We have to get in the code and change the levels at which the color changes to white. Shah, can you do that with 1.2 please, I would appreciate it. Make everything outside the Range Zone white. Thanks.

In other words: 0.51 and above is white and -0.51 and below is white.

By the way, I changed the color in the code from White to DarkGray. Itīs a lot softer now. Not as glaring.

Are the same rules for TMA slope values of -.5 and .5 used when trading the m1? I am wondering, because on my charts the slope values are much smaller... Or, should i check the slope values of the M15 and enter on the m1 if the other rules are met?

By counter trade are you referring to the TMA slope for direction or are you looking at a higher TF leading you to only look for shorts on Euro pairs?

Here is an example of the difference in the new rules and the old. Look at Usd Cad. Under the old rules, we would be looking to get in on MA Cross soon. But with the new rules, we donīt have support at our back. On the contrary. We have resistance in front of us, so that will keep us out of a not so good trade.

In general, I mean against higher TF trend but now we define trend by Rule 1. It is a better trend definition than any I have used up to now.

If he would add a color you would be able to color code all trade directions, easy for me to say since i don't code
