anyway looks as if its consolidating around my Entry at 1.0816. i guess we have to wait to see if the European banks snap up around half a trillion euros of three-year loans at the ECB's second long-term refinancing operation (LTRO), according to a Reuters poll this looks likely.I do expect a retrace but just backing on a journey to next resistance of 1.0851 ( 2xATR) I guess we shall see soon eneough

Really need the ECB to pull a rabbit out of that hat tonight. Not just for the AUD but also to get some confidence back into investment markets.

Come on ECB show us what you got

well I got my little run of the stops I was expecting and filled my 35 pips at 1.0851. Thats enough for me. Bit concerned about the Euro so might call it a night. We'll look at tomorrow . Good trading all night night, or day day if your in the northern hemisphere.

Just a minute ago 85% were short! Quite a few stop losses were taken out I think, that number dropped to 75% when it spiked to 85

yeah down to 71% now so a few stops taken out. I think it might be a good indicator if you have a definite trend like we have in the AUD/USD. Done a few stop runs now but yet to put it into a workable mathematics. Probably best for me to just stay a discretionary trader. I tried for years to look for the holy grail with technical trading. Still interesting to see what other retail traders are doing
though.

Anyway off to bed but I think this is a bull night. The stops are gone. Short term traders like me have gone to bed or lunch. Commodity prices are strong and there is no reason why the AUD shouldn't hit 1.0850 tonight.

thats all i can say. from 1.0800 to 1.0858 then back to 1.0814 now again to 1.0830. looks like euro will not rally now but aussie can still rally.

my shorts will be gone. one @1.0843 and other @1.0822.

yay got my TP at 850 although it didn't stay above it for long

the ltro was pretty much as expected so it should go up more in the US session barring bad news i think
testing 900+ tonight or maybe retrace first?

I thought weak Dollar = Long AUD/USD .. plz correct me if I am wrong ....

1. all priced Bernanke been saying basically the same thing for many years. 2. nothing goes up in straight line unless it's d-day.

I'm new and maybe I am over simplifying the release. Nice to have experience to draw from. So, do you think or see AUD/USD going past 1.0860 today?

Ben Bernanke's speech - Basically good news for the USD which meant a lower AUD
PRICE ACTION is the only real time indicator.

Anything is possible in forex but today not likely. Price of oil is not a comfortable situation and there will likely be a correction.
