Due to the great demand following my post with a rar file with 100 signal bars (two traders of you indicated that it was not totally useless ), I share some more with you in the attached zip file.

The Asian session had a move of 9 blue candles prior to the LO....the LO candle was the 10th blue candle in a row.....I have learned that, true to what Big E taught, most moves consist of 3 to 8 APB candles in the same direction before retracing or reversing....when I saw the 10th blue candle in a row, I was cautious about entering until I could see where price was headed from there.

You also said in a previous if Asian session moves about 60 pips that you dont expect a reversal and price normally continues in the same direction

(IF i recall correctly)

This is my first post with you, but I have been following the thread for a few months. I am trying to get this system down & start making pips! Thanks again

What made you decide to close your trade and take profit at
+35 instead of holding for +50 on this trade? How much pullback will you allow on a candle before closing the trade and taking your profit?

Q1. I was already at work and not able to monitor the trade any longer so I closed it for what I could get.
Q2. That depends on several factors.....the time of day, support or resistance in the area, how long the trade has been running, etc....London session, I will usually allow a pullback of 30 or 35 pips....NY session, much less....15 or 20 pips.

That is true....and if price had continued in the same direction with a higher high on the next candle, I probably would have entered but watched it closely for a reversal. Instead, there was a pullback and a TDI crossover short on the next candle, which also happens quite often at London Open.
All we can do as traders is analyse what we see and base our decisions that information along with our own knowledge and experience.

Hi Axw, I was in the same trade with X-Man on that one because of the same pull-back candle he pointed out.
I also made the same profit as he did.
The reason he did not took the 50 pip TP was because the candle following that pull-back candle, which was the entry candle, while it was forming had the TDI flattening, which gives a signal to get out.
At the same time, PA was on a level of a minor resistance while the TDI was giving a flat signal, hence, more reason to get out.
If you were on that trade watching it while it was developing at that time, you will see that momentum suddenly stalled on that level, hence another signal to get out.

Hi,

yesterday I traded NZDUSD, and managed +30pips. Market is consolidating and waiting for the next move.

Today most likely to test the recent highs of weeks 06, 07 and 08 again.
failure to beak upwards will see some sell opportunity but expect narrow range day.
The weekly pivot 0.8349 is support to break. Let see if this will be broken today which is also end of the month Feb, but this week has not ended yet. Need to see a convincing strong break and close below this WP for a new downflow.

Question is: Do you see USD strengthen overall looking at all other pairs?

Study the attached Pdf file. This is 'original' Dean Malone's stuff.
These are the fundamentals of the Synergy method.

Once you know these well and have all these internalised, you will have the foundations and continue to build your own system going foward. The rest is up to up and only you can build and complete the system for yourself.

Have a smooth learning journey into system development.

I use MA5 (smoothed, shift 0) low, and MA5 (smoothed, shift 0) high (from The Synergy method Price Action Channel).

X-Man, I agree with Emmanuel7788 comments re the Video wholeheartedly. In fact I suggest you put The "The Wrong Questions" Video on YOUR first page next to Ricks Link, as required reading. It covers so many Queries and Questions that Newbies, should be aware of, before tackling the Thread and might quell the myriad of "same" Questions that ultimately follow. And it is also a refresher to us Oldies as well.

Hi,

Just think this may be useful to pass along. I just tried to switch my demo from FXCM (demo MT4 of FXCM is a crap right now and they are aware of it - the live one seems fine though) to trading-point. I could not just save a template file from FXCM and use it on trading-point so I manually inserted indicators again.

Then I found that shi channel was painted differently. Recall that ljin said here yesterday that his daily channel on EURUSD was down, while mine (FXCM) was up. Now I get a down one from Trading point.

So, I just show you guys these channels in case someone know why they are different, or at least to be aware that this can happen, and DEFINITELY would affect our 4H trades! Oh, and I tried to remove and re-insert the indicator on FXCM one, and it still showed the same channel.

Indeed, the second-level zoom on the daily chart from these two MT4 are different. Trading-point spans to longer period in the past.

PS. The moving averages were different because I accidentally used "low" instead of "close" for trading point - I don't think this affects the way the shi channel is painted though.
